@@scp096sson2 It was a lot of fun (really hard though, even the pro orchestra we played with admitted to having to pull it out for practice). What's crazy is we had FIVE bassoons in that orchestra. Didn't realize how good we had it until I got to conservatory and we have none. Not 1 bassoon in the entire school.
sounds like a chicken farm
I love the bassoon but this made me chuckle ahahah
I play the bassoon and yes the bassoon is indeed a chicken farm
Tuba player spotted! Booo
Fr
LMAO
Berlioz used the bassoon geniusly in this movement
What Berlioz is this? He's kinda a gap in my listening
@@RoxxorzYourBoxxorz This is the 4th movement of Symphonie Fantastique, one of the best symphonies ever written imo, you should def give it a listen
@@DynastieArtistique thank you
I didn't realize until half way through that the bassoon had started playing
bassoon my beloved
Tenor clef jumpscare 😟
Check out the awesome bassoon duet at the beginning of Carl Nielsen's Symphony No. 5.
Sad part of this video was that the violins were WAY too loud. Violins need to sit the hell down.
Huh? The strings have the main theme in each of these excerpts. That’s just appropriate orchestral balance.
They have a mezzo-forte on their score and the decrease appears on bar 56
Played this with my youth symphony in high school. Just based on the title, I knew this was Berlioz.
You’re lucky, this piece would be a dream for me to play!

Berlioz Symphonie Fantastique 4th movement
March to the scaffold
This. Recording and who performed it should be in the description.
Uh… no! Bassoon is pretty good but like the flute is obviously always going to be better than almost every instrument to ever exist >:)
Nah
Flute is the same level of violin
Bombard simps are seething when they listen to this
Double bass superiority
than what? idk what this is offhand. haydn?
This is the 4th mvt, March to the Scaffold, of Berlioz’s Symphonie Fantasque
