Are you serious? How did I miss out on this?? I would love to have seen this on stage. Congratulations Desmond's and thank you for producing this Stage Peckham. Xx
It's on Netflix and currently on Amazon Prime (series 1 - 6) TH-cam have quite a few episodes but sadly not all of them. I've grown up with Desmond's since it first aired in 1989 on channel 4. I was 4 years old. It's a show I personally feel very connected too and close to my heart. I am obsessed with this show. Great memorable characters, great writing and set in good old South London. It was like a British version of The Fresh Prince Of Bel Air although it started a year later in 1990 they were both around at the same time in the very early 90s and both officially ended around 1995/1996.
It's on Tubi now, so I'm watching every episode I missed as a kid in NY. I saw it more as a Cosby Show that dealt with real issues; it has been my go-to when people express their problems watching the Cosby Show. I still say "SHAME BOY" when someone around me gets embarrassed like Sean did when Michael got told off by Porkpie. 😄
All the way from America, I am jumping up and down filled with delight to see this on TH-cam. This show deserves all the praise and admiration that it can possible receive. I know that there were so many other Caribbean-based British shows, but Desmond's was played in America throughout the 80's and 90's constantly thereby giving us exposure to the Black British Culture. Congratulations to the entire cast and crew.

You can’t have an inclusive industry if you don’t have inclusivity at grass roots level in a Theatrical company, I didn’t see any evidence demonstrating or supporting this ideal in the video, I did however hear the usual wishy washy platitudes.
They would have never played this in America,..it's too much Black and White love and relationships...living side by side....very nice,..but they don't like that here, sadly !!
