This is an awesome video. The most articulate and informative on TH-cam regarding Guyana. My dad owned farms and we would travel on the East Bank often. I distinctly recall the smell of the plant and I must say, I will miss it, but I’m excited about the new technologies being applied to the manufacturing process.
The overpass and GBTI’s contribution to the community by proving solar power is impressive.
I noticed that some drivers seem to veer out of the lanes. What’s that about? Anyway, thank you so much Raphael and do be careful out there.

The banks have been there for a number of years. But you are right there has been a considerable development on this road over the years. Especially with the redevelopment of old sugar cane groves into housing. Guyana needs more larger towns with their own CBDs not dependent on Georgetown. Banks are magnetics for people and other businesses, they represent a Break Point for people's travel habits. What is needed in the Diamond area in a 7 day Market. I any not sure if one exists or is planned

Hi Rafael, thanks for bringing us up to date. This is really amazing. It looks like parts of North America.
With all these new developments, there must be a lot of jobs being created. Are they finding enough qualified people to hire?
Unemployment should be at zero in Guyana.

No the Guyanese population is not educated enough to handle these jobs. The government is considering work visas for immigrants to fill open jobs.

I can remember a draw bridge that you had to wait as the punts passed in the 50's.

Looks like decentralization of some businesses from the congested Georgetown areas to more spacious locations such as diamond.
As you mentioned in previous video, the river side recreational development maybe preferred along areas such as Diamond, Garden of Eden etc.

They need to build real highways to take the heavy traffic out of the city, but with exit roads into the commercial and residential areas. A unobstructed real highway to Timehri, linden and beyond.
