1:01:01 No jay. Thats just how tetra's play. Precisely why you will see almost all tetra players run FULL quick respawn with stealth jump and 1 sub of quick super jump. They are built around skimishing and slaying. They play around dying alot. (doing my fellow dualie mains some justice)
I dunno if you’re specifically looking for tips to improve, but ima throw them in here on the off chance you actually look at the Vod Vault video comments. (I am by no means trying to claim I’m an expert or competitive coach - I’ve actually been in the same boat of trying to hit top 1,000-500 for a while now, so take these with a grain of salt.) - A useful trick for Triple Inkstrike is to throw the markers so that all three missiles land at once, by throwing the first one in a high arc and the third one extra low along the ground. Obviously, you do sacrifice some flexibility on what areas you can clear, but all three strikes going off at the same time can force opponents out of larger areas, and makes the strikes harder to dodge. Even if they don’t all hit perfectly at once, having the earlier strikes land later can make it easier to punch into the space they clear. - Another thing I noticed that would really help is keeping track of opponents. A good example I saw was around 1:18:15. After taking out the Dynamo with a bomb (nice throw btw, landing Splat bombs on narrow platforms like that without them rolling off is really hard to get the hang of) you went to charge special and go for a flank route. A combination of quickly scanning mid and checking the HUD would reveal that a) no enemies were in mid, and b) three opponents were still on the field. Process of elimination means that all three of of the active enemy team players were pushing on that far ramp. (In this scenario, there’s a pretty high likelihood that you couldn’t make it back in time to help that fight much, but process of elimination like this is a great way to find open routes and timing for breakaway pushes or flanks.) Again, I’m not trying to claim to be some high-level teacher, and I’m sorry if this comes off as negative or annoying or nerd-emoji-y or anything. But after struggling with the hell that is solo queue for a thousand hours in Splatoon 3 alone without even a top 2,000 X rank to show for it, I just can’t help but try to offer any advice I can to this in a similar situation. I missed this stream, but Worlds kinda rekindled my drive for the grind as well, and I’ll joining both the streams and the queue for that top 500 grind. Anyways wow I should not have spent half an hour making tiny unnecessary OCD-induced grammatical edits to that, it is now 11:30 and I am going to bed
I’m a Tentatek Splattershot player and I can vouch that this Triple Inkstrike advice is very useful. For extra coverage, I like to throw a bomb first, then throw the strikes, then throw another bomb if I can. I don’t throw the 2nd bomb if there are any enemies in my immediate vicinity, it’s better to use your newly-refilled tank to fight them directly. And don’t ever apologize for rambling about something you’re passionate about!! I love to see other people enjoying Splatoon as much as I do ❤
i don't get it, you seem to have good knowledge but can't even hit top 500 wich is around 2550 if you're playing in NA region. if ur playing in JP region forget what i said
@@syn-fyi yeah I’m convinced I’m cursed with the worst luck when it comes to solo queue teammates. I have too many examples to count, but the most egregious one is probably that Jet Squelcher that sat under the clam basket the whole game and ended up with a KD of 1 and 23. (This was 1800-1900 X rank clams btw.)
@@xraenon1664 I’m 2400-2500 average, getting 2600+ a couple of times but I don’t play X a lot anymore. I used to struggle against jet too but now I play Hydra and naut, as long as you can take care of the jet’s teammates he should struggle, but yeah I do admit 1800-2300 is an absolute prison of weird players
Get some ink resistance on dude. You were getting stuck in the ink so many times. Even just one sub and get a sub of super jump too. I see just those would have helped greatly. Otherwise, well done on the top 1500
I don’t know if y’all know what I mean but for comp splatoon I personally don’t think I’m really good at it but I do it any way so I’m like a casual comp player if that makes any sense
Broooo, that was me at the end, I was splatgamer, sad I lost, but it was fun to play with thee jaymoji, :0. Next time I'm gonna win tho.

Thank you 🙏🏽 from a Tetra main
justifying more than twice as many deaths as kills is a bit of a stretch though
@@HarpanW Nope, normally it would be 3x deaths for kills, but tetras still good
@@Shadow_MiniMan-TDX I’d like to see this ratio on top level play
@@HarpanW Alr then, check out orion
