Great demo Jamie. Although this is a relatively simple site, native wordpress really is making progress in becoming a solid solution for building websites.
I love these creation videos. I am torn with the Spectra One theme if I should use the container blocks or just stick with groups and rows standard blocks. It ends up locking into the theme but there are a lot of good beginning patterns... Nice to see default options.

15 mins, impressive, well done Jamie. How about something exploring the upcoming 6.4 release with the TT4 theme? The latest Gutenberg plugin provides the essential (but currently removed until 6.5) font management feature.

Thank you 🙏 Yup 2024 is shaping up to be a great default blog. I think it's going to easier for people to create a variety of sites e.g business sites, without having to completely re-design templates (like i did in my video today). It's on my list to review once it's ready 👍
Hi Jamie, thank you for the tutorial. Why do you create a custom page after creating the Front Page template? WordPress already shows the Front Page template first, so you don't need to create another page and set it as the home page. Do you have a special reason?

Thank you for showing me the potential of the out of the box WordPress blocks. I knew they were powerful, but I'm so ingrained into the breakdance, bricks, elementor workflow that I find the whole WordPress blocks totally confusing. Maybe have been designing websites to long.
@@jamiewp So, I am not a big fan of plugins. Unfortunately, I have been an Oxygen user and have really forgotten how WordPress works! If I delete it in the page template this will not affect posts, right? Also, do you have a tutorial recommendation where I can get some good intro on FSE? Thanks.

Either delete in the page template or use the block visibility free plugin
