I just can not understand how a car that was accidentally built to be super cheap is handily out competing the specifically designed cheap cars from the last campaign. The customers here are wild.
I'd guess that the ai doesn't make kai cars in gasmea beacause they think that it won't make any money, so when you do, you make up the entirety of the market.
To get rid of your profits, you should also consider to buy a few company cars for your fat Gasmean managers. I don't think they fit into your own cars at all. I heard Might Motors has cars available which quickly eat up your surplus money, mostly due to fuel bills. :) On another note (37:22): Your service costs decreased by a dollar or two while you added quite massive toe. Is this properly hooked up yet?
Haha, yes indeed, we should consider buying a few of these as none of our higher ups actually want to drive our cars unless they are... WELL COMPENSATED for it xD Good observation about toe! I thought we did hook it up, I'll run a few tests :) Cheers!
with each cylinder the size of a matchbox, the combustion chamber size to cylinder area would be abysmal. I assume there was a reason why the tiny engines in the original Kei Cars (and motorcycles of less than 600 cc) were 2 cylinder. For future proofing and to develop point, I guess a 660 B4 downsized to 360 would be doable - just barely :)
I heard you say in a QA that UI space is a reason some sliders with less of an effect aren’t visible, but are possibly available. I think you should put a small tab for ‘additional sliders’ where they are available that are completely optional. This would be a toggleable option, kind of like what you have for gear ratio. So the complexity is there for people who want it and not in the face of people who don’t.
There are no sliders that are just hidden, if they are not there they don't exist. Options are not an option :) I thought that QA made that clear. We put the most game relevant things on the screen and the rest gets cut - otherwise there is no end to it all. There is now only one exception to that: advanced gearing setup.
For a future sports car, what about a V6. Align the stats so it's basically 2 of whatever I3 you're producing at the time smushed together, like that Brabus Smart car some years back.
I've found that tiny Boxer 4s, at least before this update, genuinely flourish with twin turbos, since you're speccing into aspiration early for obvious reasons, that might be the key!
Not quite sure what was going on there :) It could be one of those situations where the reach of the car is amplified because of its extraordinary desirability. But yes, that looked very wrong xD
30:37 "does the driver count as heavy delivery" XD
Keep up the Gasmean fat jokes!
Gasmean fat jokes are the best. In Ep05 I'll specifically request you guys post Gasmean fat jokes xD

Breaking the Game with QualitySlider or something. 🤑
I suppose in Archana all the competion is cheap too so not as much market breathing room

It does help to have the +2 tech pool across the board :) and yes, Archana is a very different market, tiny and dirt poor!

I checked the toe, it does add service costs to a significant degree. :) Maybe you looked at the material costs!
True, it is material costs. Service cost isn't in the list! Sorry for the confusion
I wonder if a boxer 4 would have worked for the sport engine, that's still 33% less cylinders than the B6.
20:00 Ah, there you go.
Yeah, that works well :)great config for a small sports engine.
Maybe for next campaign playthrough you could start a GT/Luxury brand and make really expensive cars and see if it pays off?
But that's just the standard start :) of course it pays off, high margin cars!

Yes, exactly that :) loads of friction for little pops! B4 is where it's at!

@26:33 Viewers of this play through are nodding in agreement at this point 😂
We are predictable beings! xD
26:29 Sounds like a fair deal to me.
xD fair enough!

Yeah, the V6 would be excellent, such a compact format, too!

Another very fun episode!
Thank you! Glad you enjoyed, cheers!
A new car line: the Bazongas
And with the profits from the Tiny Bazonga, you can buy out the autotomotive division of Tata.
love this
Thanks! :D
35:50 I know there exist semi-trucks that were made without front brakes back in the day of no safety regs, was that a thing in cars?
No idea, but that does sound rather scary... redundancy = zero xD
amazing
Cheers! :D
Is that "market share %" > "awareness %" a bug? Are the base populations different, or are people literally not aware of their own cars?
Not quite sure what was going on there :) It could be one of those situations where the reach of the car is amplified because of its extraordinary desirability. But yes, that looked very wrong xD
Could maybe make something like an mx-5 or rx-7 later in the game
also, Kei car suzuki Jimnys exist, some equivalent to those could be funny
Sure, we can try to make a dedicated light sports car between 1976 and 1990 :) twin turbo 6 cylinder :D
