Totally respect your privacy and your desire not to share what you make,. Just want to be very clear that an employer cannot require you to keep your salary private. That's illegal. It is a tactic that a lot of employers use to keep employees from knowing they are making less than their peers. Your ability to share your salary is 100% at your discretion and up to what you feel comfortable with. ❤
Yep! Salary transparency laws went into effect in some states since 2019 that require employers to reveal salaries. New York (her home state) has also recently adopted it. It goes into effect this September.
However, in her job she is on a contract that has an end. They do not have to rehire her at the end of a contract and since she is an entertainer, all they would have to say is that she didn’t fit the part for the next show.

I signed numerous contracts with a company I did ice shows with for years! Jordan doesn't work for the cruise company. She works for a company I know, but won't say as I'm not sure if Jordan has or not. They provide the ice show for the cruise-line. I was constantly negotiating and renewing contracts for every summer and winter contract I did as a performer. Btw it's not against any rules to say how much to make, but performers never disclose how much they make. Even to each other! It's just a thing. I wouldn't share my wages either. I don't think it matters if she is under contract or not. What TH-camr tells their subscribers how much they make at their job. I don't tell my friends how much I make.

I was just on a week long cruise on the Explorer and absolutely loved it! The skating shows are always my favourite and this one was just as great! Loved the ports of Venice, Crotia and Greece ... and am not sure how to top that cruise lol. The standard has definitely gone up. Previously we have only been on Oasis class of ships but we loved the smaller size ship and having an inside room. You are going to love it!
Is Callum going with you on Explorer? Explorer was my first and only cruise and the ice show is fantastic. Can’t wait to hear your thoughts while learning it.

Another idea for a cheap day in St. Thomas is to walk to the main highway and catch the safari bus. It is $1-$2 per person depending on how far you ride (the K-mart is the dividing line for how much you have to pay). It makes for an interesting day to ride with the locals and there is a bus stop within about a 5-7 minute walk of Coki Beach.
