Your video gives me a tip of my problem, I have an old ERL in my network. This morning I power off the device by switching off the "AC Voltage Regulator"/"AC Line conditioner" and after 20 minutes power on again. With no reason (is a over voltage condition I think) the device starts to do a sharp noise (squeak noise) I think from some inductance. In my case I have two voltage regulator after 12V power plug, one output from aoz1212 is 3,3[V] constant (is OK), and other is a wild variation from 3 to 5[V] (the bad one). But not sure if is for the diode connected to the aoz1212 or the aoz1212 itself. I Will de-soldering first the diode to check it, but unfortunately (for covid quarantine reason in my country) I will archive the ERL until I buy some parts form internet.
I have a UAP AC LR that won't reset. I bought it used, and the light remains blue instead of factory defaulting to white. Because I don't know the password and I can't reset it, I am stuck. Is there anything that you know of to reset it manually other than the button? I removed the top and examined the reset button, which seems fine. Thanks
How long are you holding the reset button, If you do a quick press and release it will restart the AP but if you hold it for more than 10 seconds it should reset the AP. This could also mean it's resetting back the previous owner settings, contact them and ask them to forget the device on the unifi controller or try to adopt the AP AC LR and then forget it or SSH into the device and issue set-default command if that doesn't work issue syswrapper.sh restore-default. Or you can ask the person you bought from to give you the password. If any of that does not work, I can give you one I don't use, just send me a shipping label and I will send to you. Thank you and please subscribe.
Try putting it inside a bag of rice for like 3 days see if that will help. But usually it's hard to come back from water damage so don't put your hopes up. Sorry I don't have any good advice for this.
I am not clear what word you keep using to describe those diodes. "iron diode?". That diode that you have there that is bad is a "TVS diode". Regardless of that , you info is right on. Plug one of those into 48V and you blow out the TVS diode. As you said, they fail to a low resistance when they go.
Hello .. Thank you for your video .. This has happened to my uap-ac-m .. The poe power supply blinks. Could you please help me with where I could find this tvs diode in the uap-ac-m. Thank you for your help . Have a great day :)
Not really helpful - how did you discover 'D6' is failed, and what is a proper replacement? You need a good pry-tool to get these open, you have to pry little tabs on the top cover out of the retaining 'holes' on the bottom (circuit board) side.
Nobody can defeat you sir. You are the best
Anyone know where i can find a replacement for the blue leds on the uap ac pros? They do dim over time sadly

Hopefully, you got this resolved! Stay safe!
Could I replace a 24v smd zener diode?
@gilsonsantos I am not sure about that! But you could give it a try, you just need to be good at soldering

It's TVS diode, you are right!
