Get yourself a nice plant! It’s amazing how much having a living thing, even a plant, with you can help with the loneliness and it will help keep the space from feeling stale! (In my experience with living alone, having plants has always helped keep spaces lively)
When I moved out of my house at 18 I was also clueless with most adulting things including grocery runs lol. I’m 23 now and I have found the best way to do grocery runs is plan out your meals and then write down a list of all the ingredients you need. I usually include staples like snacks, fruit, drinks, quick meals (salads, frozen dishes) and bam you have a whole fridge full of food for the next week or so! So glad you got your new place and can’t wait to see how you decorate it!
I live near you. Great, great location, except at night. Even though it's a pedestrian heavy area, we avoid walking the neighborhood after dark. And you called it, you will tire of the sirens and other city noises in time but just keep your sliding door closed and it's okay. Thanks for a peek inside that building.
“It feels like a hotel room with all my stuff in it” I FELT that lol when I moved out I felt like I was at a weird camp or staying out of town for like the first whole week !!

girly here's a life changing dishwashing tip: if you are not going to run the dishwasher (like if you only had a few dirty dishes) using the dishwasher as a drying rack is the best! It is so much better than a bulky drying rack on the counter. Just make sure to leave it somewhat open so the stuff actually dries

My opinions on GG: I’m also a hardcore OG gossip girl stan but I’ve watched the new one too I think that there are areas of the show which are obviously very similar to the original but overall it is just like a completely different show both plot wise and when it comes to vibes.

Just to give you a heads up about the lime juicer. So as you use it the enamel will peel and flake cause of the acid. It can take a while but when it does don’t worry it’s normal! My family uses a wooden juicer since it doesn’t have that same problem (you use it by holding the half you are juicing in your hand cut side up and hold it at an angle take the wooden juicer to the center and twist! Might need to pick out seeds).

I spent the first night alone because the friend I was sharing the apartment with hadn't moved in yet and I just remember it feeling so surreal and out of place. It felt sooooo weird. Getting out of the apartment and sticking to things I was used to helped a lot.

Congrats! My #1 tip for moving, is ALWAYS set up your kitchen before going to bed on moving day. You will love it when you wake up
