And his rival, Samurai Goroh, was from Red Canyon! I loved that short comic in the back of the instruction manual, too! It would've been cool had they made it a series.
I don't know why, but start up of that background sound at 1:40 is just so unique. I love how it starts off fast, then slows down with its rhythm. It's my favorite part of the song.
I was 16 when this game came out. It was the beginning of a decade and the end of my high schoo days. "Faith No More" was the cool band of the day, "Terminator 2" came out and it was the end of the Soviet Union. Good memories.
Even though I've first played the original F Zero about a year ago, it already makes me nostalgia hard. The music is so great, makes me confident. F Zero has got some really touching music.
I remember taking the "short cut" on the jump on this level to the opposite side of the track... the game doesn't like it very much when you do that, they send like a "referee" ship to haul your ass back to the start of the jump lol!
Every single F-Zero race of my life: The start: "Alright, time to kick some butt" (accidentally press the button to soon and fall behind) "Crap, already in 4th..." During the middle: (Finally get up to 1st) "Finally, that took forever!" (see a bomb car) "Argh!!!!!" (loose half of my health trying to avoid hitting it) 2 laps left: "Okay, I just need to hang on for a little more." (start hitting walls like crazy) "Dang it!" Last lap: "Shoot, I thought I was going to be done after that..."
i remember playing this game when i was 4 or 5. now im 17, and i still find myself playing this game. say what you will about the new games that come out; they just don't make 'em like this anymore.
@heyXtheresXmyXfinger Your comment makes me think of all the great times I spent with my dad playing this game and bomber man. Good times. Good times indeed.
I remember when I 1st played the game, and I chose the lowest difficulty and stuff. That jump took me a few tries to get right. I thought the jump was easier on higher difficulties, or I was just getting better lol. This is my favorite song followed by firefield then bigblue.
Great track, for me it represent exactly what 16 bit era was: A big evolution in term of graphics, gameplay, music, ... All of this without forghetting what makes a game good and what makes it bad.
I just noticed something. Captain Falcon's Blue Falcon is No. 111. XD Anyway, as many have already stated this is by far one of the greatest tunes in F-Zero.
I would say it's a toss up between this, and Fire Field. This was definitely an awesome track (still is!), but I think Fire Field's music would be a little more popular had it seen more than just one stage. Just my opinion, of course.
I wish these old game musics would be played in radio... this is far better than Lady GaGa, Linkin Park, Justin Bieber and all those fames added together!
LOL yea right? Don't ask me how it knew you were cheating, I have no clue! I also remember being able to do it on one of the White Land tracks, and you'd get the same result lol.
Sure, Mute City and Big Blue are great, but the forgotten gem in the F-Zero OST is clearly Port Town...
One of the great video game songs ever!
And his rival, Samurai Goroh, was from Red Canyon! I loved that short comic in the back of the instruction manual, too! It would've been cool had they made it a series.
I remember I got my Snes in 1996 and F-Zero, Super Mario and Super Soccer. But I loved to play F-Zero it was a great childhood :)
+Ashkan Parhizkary I also got my SNES in 1996, instead of saving up more money for an N64 which came out that year.
I think it's cool how the music for Port Town went from this 16-bit song, to metal in F-Zero X, then to techno in GX. It's quite a transformation.
As a kid I thought port town was real.
reading that made me feel happy.
f zero is a classic series, the music is always good,i like the snes game the best though, still play it on my snes!
thanks for the perfect uploads
Who else still remembers this is Captain Falcons hometown?
I love this song for its intensity. It is a perfect epitome for great racing music.
@TranceCore3 Dude your comment about the counterpoint melody has totally enlightened my understanding of this song. FUKKIN AY SO GOOD
I don't know why, but start up of that background sound at 1:40 is just so unique. I love how it starts off fast, then slows down with its rhythm. It's my favorite part of the song.
Song fit the level perfectly. Racing through a metropolis during twilight. Great stuff.
I was 16 when this game came out. It was the beginning of a decade and the end of my high schoo days. "Faith No More" was the cool band of the day, "Terminator 2" came out and it was the end of the Soviet Union. Good memories.
I always used to have at least one problem with this track when racing on it, but the music is amazing..
Minha música favorita do jogo.
that beat in the backround is simply awesome
Even though I've first played the original F Zero about a year ago, it already makes me nostalgia hard.
The music is so great, makes me confident. F Zero has got some really touching music.

Mah boi, this song is where all true warriors strive for!
I was 2 when this was released....played it for the first time 3 years later....great memories
1991-2016 celebrating 25 years F-Zero Port Town
I wish my home town played music like this the whole time :)
I remember back in the day this track used to kick my ass, but I always came back for the music.
My ringtone is 0:20 to 1:00. It actually loops perfectly.
WOW!! This is old, but this song just froze me back to 1991!
nice
This track makes me go back in time when i close my eyes.
I remember taking the "short cut" on the jump on this level to the opposite side of the track... the game doesn't like it very much when you do that, they send like a "referee" ship to haul your ass back to the start of the jump lol!
Reminds me of fishing out there in Pensacola's piers, its very fitting
Between 0:20 and 0:30 is the best part. The harmony is just great....I sounds soooo good!
Nostalgic songs.. ..Back in 90's :(
f-zero soundtracks are bad-ass!
One of the best race games ever.
@MsGhoulz ... oh my fkn god THAT would be just toooo ... (days and hours later) ... oooo awesome !!!! XD
Good memories... to this... and my farther.... -.-
This song is so badass, that the recommended videos screen just disappeared.

A veces dan ganas de llorar...
i remember playing this game when i was 4 or 5. now im 17, and i still find myself playing this game. say what you will about the new games that come out; they just don't make 'em like this anymore.
OHHHHHHHHHH I LOVE IT!!!!
Im thinking the music is loved for its nostalgia and fast pace
@Flexcat010 agreed however when i imagine the future the f-zero soundtrack is the background music.
The reminds me of M.Bison from Street Fighter 2
@heyXtheresXmyXfinger
Your comment makes me think of all the great times I spent with my dad playing this game and bomber man. Good times. Good times indeed.
Classic Falcon Puanch!
Would definitely want one for a portable system. Portable systems get no love now-a-days
The best ^^ .
I remember when I 1st played the game, and I chose the lowest difficulty and stuff. That jump took me a few tries to get right.

Might be the greatest snes song of all time
@xMUSTEDx There are emulator's out there that let you do that but its a modified version of the game but it still sounds fun!
my favorite soundtrack in the game and it's Captain Falcons hometown
I love bass!
Epic track.
I want JUST this song on my MP3 player next time I do my run for my physical fitness test.
The first part reminds me of some street fighter 2, which is also on the SNES, oh man, it was fucking great.
damn magnets pulling me to the rails >:(
Time to hook my SNES up.
It was 111 in the SNES game. But then when F-Zero X came out for the N64, it changed to No. 7
Tracks Big Blue, Sand Ocean, Port Town and Fire Field. The top 4 racing anthems of the F-Zero universe
Mute City: am i joke to you?
I just noticed something. Captain Falcon's Blue Falcon is No. 111. XD Anyway, as many have already stated this is by far one of the greatest tunes in F-Zero.
jefe¡¡' saludos
@Xads308 yeah nothing beats oldschool games no mattter how they try to improve in new ones they just cant compete with something as simple as this
I would say it's a toss up between this, and Fire Field. This was definitely an awesome track (still is!), but I think Fire Field's music would be a little more popular had it seen more than just one stage. Just my opinion, of course.

Dude this sounds like final boss battle music
Captain Falcon's home turf! FALCON PUNCH!!!!
@ManofWario
Except you raced to when over 400 MPH to this song.
Welcome To Port Town! ( In a Evil Voice)
Earthbound reminded me of this
someone make a metal remix of this
Why has your idea not been turned to a Satellite radio station yet?
It would cause many accidents in traffics...
This could fit right in, in metroid, no?
i got my copy of this game signed by Chad from Screw Attack
Essa música é foda.
@MsGhoulz no bullshit this is late but i still gotta say it would be the best online game in fucking history!
@eb937
Game Over...
Dun Dun DUUUUN.
ride on japan's bullet train= closest thing to f zero
Apparently, 1 person couldn't get passed the jump part.
@brainjuice654 I know right!
Yup,only in Japan,though. :(
kind of^^
Alot of tracks should have been in Brawl.
I guess there were just too many to fit in one game?
the 2 people that disliked this couldent beat the level on expert =P
Your kidding? I beat every track including fire field in MASTER difficulty!
LOL yea right? Don't ask me how it knew you were cheating, I have no clue! I also remember being able to do it on one of the White Land tracks, and you'd get the same result lol.
In white land I, it’s possible to get hauled back by the ship, same with white land II, and port town, but im not sure about silence.
Why was this song not in Super Smash Bros.?
sounds like Kirby...
Should have been in Brawl!
@donwormi Lady Gaga Justin Bieber and Linkin Park in one row. Are you mad? O.o ... oh and bye the way. F-Zero - one of the best games ever made.
DnB?
@NightDragon2383 LOL yh
I can see it
