Welcome to the official Cam Steady TH-cam channel that was formerly VideoGameRapBattles! I’m Cam, rapper and creator of VideoGameRapBattles. Video Game Rap Battles is a series that pits two popular gaming characters against each other in an epic rap battle. This pokemon rival rap cypher features pokemon rivals from different pokemon generations taking part in a big pokemon rap cypher. This is not my first pokemon cypher as I have done other cypher pokemon rap songs including my eevee pokemon cypher song and the pokemon trainer cypher which is the prequel to the pokemon champion rap cypher. The pokemon also known as Pocket Monsters in Japan, is a Japanese media franchise managed by The pokemon Company, a company founded by Nintendo, Game Freak, and Creatures. The franchise was created by Satoshi Tajiri in 1995, and is centered on fictional creatures called pokemon which humans, known as pokemon trainers which are featured on this pokemon champion rap cypher , catch and train to battle each other for sport. Games, shows and other works within the franchise are set in the Pokémon universe. The English slogan for the franchise is "Gotta Catch 'Em All".
The franchise began as Pocket Monsters: Red and Green (later released outside of Japan as Pokémon Red and Blue), a pair of video games for the original Game Boy handheld system that were developed by Game Freak and published by Nintendo in February 1996. A rival is one of the main characters in the pokemon games that is well known to the protagonist and has similar skills, goals, and achievements. The pokemon rival characters appear frequently during the protagonist's quest, having a role in several of the games' events and often challenges them in battles. Defeating a rival may be a primary or necessary goal of said character.

The rapper for Silver did a great job becoming the character, he went kinda crazy (that silver soul bar was TUFF)

The flow on this cypher literally never slows or calms down and I absolutely love it
To be fair Silver technically is just a 11 year old without a home so...
During the Celebi Event in HGSS we can even see the scene where Giovanni just abandons Silver (It is the past I think)
So yeah what would have he done he was basically homless.
Reference that I promise >1% of people got. The "tardy to the party" line of Cam's verse is a reference to Blaziken vs Infernape, a rap battle he did over 3 years ago.

Nice to see someone who knows pokemon react to these. But I agree this one was prob the worst, only good ones was Silver, Hugh, and Hop. As much as I love chichi, this was prob her worst but can't work with x and y that much considering how bad they were lol but to me the trainer and villain ones where by far the best.

Cam Steady's verse for Barry and Chi-chi's verse for Shauna are definitely my 1st and 2nd favorites respectively throughout this Pokemon rap cypher.
