  • Reading's League One match against Port Vale was abandoned after home fans stormed the pitch in protest against the club's owner, Dai Yongge.

    The game was called off in the 16th minute when fans refused to leave the pitch. 'We appreciate supporters' frustrations,' Reading said in a club statement during the protest. 'The club can face serious sanctions if the pitch is not cleared.'

      the tennis balls went in first few minutes of play, then we walked the pitch at 16 minutes

    Why don't the fans just stop going to the games and protest outside?
    By not buying the tickets it would make the club unsustainable to run.

      The club’s in financial turmoil.
      If people stopped buying tickets you’re only making the problem worse.

      The owner is worth multi billions. He has the money, he just isn’t putting it into the club. HMRC bills and wages are not being paid.
      He’s allowing the club to die as he has done with two other football clubs in his history.
      The only way forward is to get the attention of the media and the football league.
      In honesty I can see Reading going the same way that Bury did, but all we can do now is hope that there are reforms that stop this happening in the future.

    in a protest you have to follow the rules and be peaceful this shows Reading can't do it
