Just had to let you know, last night I prayed to God to know and understand what the difference was between the Soul and the Spirit was. And I found this video this morning and I was not looking for it. WOW He answered my prayers! All glory to GOD!

I was born in a christian family so I inherited Christianity from my parents. I'm 24 year old now. I decided to received Jesus Christ as my saviour again (July 2020). I consider myself as a new Christian regardless of the past 24 years I spent as a Christian. This enabled me to start from Zero & seek God on my own. I learned a lot from the video. The important thing to know is whether Jesus recieves you and recognizes you as among his flock to be saved by HIM come Judgement Day. It is blasphemous to say You Recieved Jesus as your personal Saviour as if you had a choice or alternative. No one comes to the Father unless thru Him. -- Check your faith..you might be decieved.
@Keith Harrison You need to finish reading (v 28). He was asking why the Canaanite woman would come to Him (a Jew) for help since Jews and Gentiles didn't mix in that society. When she responded that even Gentiles should eat from the Lord's table He stated "O woman, great is thy faith, let it be thee as thou wilt". Also, look at John 4:7-13. He would not say that to the Samaritan woman if He was only here for Jews. Many other examples that show you are in error.

It is not quite correct specially the New Testament concept of what soul is. Humans have 2 parts not 3, the soul in the New Testament is our mind, emotions, and will, which are a result of the spirit given by God to us and the body or more specifically, our brain.
Onelove I watched it, 2:18 he says that we are body, soul, and spirit, and he says like the Trinity, no where in the scriptures this is defined as true. The spirit and the body are the only two components of a person defined in the Old Testament, now what it is translated as soul is actually the Psyche, this is our mind, emotions, and will, but this is not like the spirit, this appears by the interaction of the spirit and the brain. When someone dies like Ecclesiastes say, the body returns to the ground and the spirit returns to God who gave it, there is no soul in there, as soon as someone dies, that person’s mental capacities, end.
Christ follower : what you are explaining is same thing the narrator explained. He says body is physical aspect we see and use to interact with environment and other people. He says our soul is our psyche, emotions etc. And that the spirit is what interacts with God when we pray, meditate or filled with power of Holy Spirit . The part of trinity is simply comparison he makes that God is Father, Son and Holy Spirit which coincides with man having body, soul and spirit.

No matter how good or bad a person is, their body returns to the ground. No matter how good or bad you are, your spirit (lifeforce) returns to Him who gave it. Your soul is what determines if you're joined with your spirit in Life, or your flesh in death. We are born spiritually empty like a cup, the same as the earth was void before He formed its beauty. I have been praying for years. Asking God to show me my path. I still don't know fully, but years ago I had an amazing urge to preach the word of God and become a colporter! But I obviously wasn't ready. But Daniel has helped me realise what I need to do. I still pray for the Lord to show me, as I need to study the bible more often.

He also told His disciples not to go to the Far East because a righteous teaching was already there and Jesus understood that mixing religious practices decreases their potency. Our spirit is the spirit of Man created by God. When you accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, God gives you His Holy Spirit who witnesses to your spirit that you are a son/daughter of God. The first pastor I have heard preaching the truth. Every human is born spiritually dead. Animals have souls because they have characters and minds . The difference is they do not have spirits. They are not born in the image of Christ. So is every human born spiritually dead What the age of accountable is only God knows. That is why it is vital that we lead our children to Jesus. Being born again does not equate salvation. One has to be a doer. Faith without works is dead, James 2:24-26. Salvation is an ongoing process. One has to be perfect for God is perfect. Only God knows who'll go to heaven/eternal life. Nobody & nobody knows for sure of one's salvation, so, "once saved is always saved" is not applicable; a man-made doctrine, false teaching= no salvation but damnation to hell.
I had been a believer for years, baptized, with theological courses but I only experieced the holy spirit when I born again, is when I started beeing used by the holy spirit. When I share the goodness of the holy spirit most of christians these are in church higher positions do not understand it. I believe I remember when my spirit was born. It was on Easter Day years ago at church and I accepted Jesus into my heart as my Lord and savior and I had this feeling in my heart like it opened, like a blossoming flower and I was overwhelmed with emotion and I cried happy tears and it felt so good!

It has taken me 39 years of my life to discern my spirit, by the grace of God. He reached out to me (unexpectedly) and instructed me to read, learn his word and lead my family (a work in progress) to walk with him. Just like working out muscles in the body by isolating them with focus, training and exercise. I've learned to isolate, train and exercise the spirit of the mind as opposed to the spirit of the flesh. It is incredible how unlocking my spirit and the direct connection with the Holy Spirit through Jesus Christ has guided my understanding of his word and the truth. I once was blind but now I see. The truth is immense. I am incredibly grateful. Glory be to God forever and ever. ✝️♥️👑

@Keith Harrison You need to finish reading (v 28). He was asking why the Canaanite woman would come to Him (a Jew) for help since Jews and Gentiles didn't mix in that society. When she responded that even Gentiles should eat from the Lord's table He stated "O woman, great is thy faith, let it be thee as thou wilt". Also, look at John 4:7-13. He would not say that to the Samaritan woman if He was only here for Jews. Many other examples that show you are in error.

It is not quite correct specially the New Testament concept of what soul is. Humans have 2 parts not 3, the soul in the New Testament is our mind, emotions, and will, which are a result of the spirit given by God to us and the body or more specifically, our brain.

I watched it, 2:18 he says that we are body, soul, and spirit, and he says like the Trinity, no where in the scriptures this is defined as true. The spirit and the body are the only two components of a person defined in the Old Testament, now what it is translated as soul is actually the Psyche, this is our mind, emotions, and will, but this is not like the spirit, this appears by the interaction of the spirit and the brain. When someone dies like Ecclesiastes say, the body returns to the ground and the spirit returns to God who gave it, there is no soul in there, as soon as someone dies, that person’s mental capacities, end.
Christ follower : what you are explaining is same thing the narrator explained. He says body is physical aspect we see and use to interact with environment and other people.
He says our soul is our psyche, emotions etc. And that the spirit is what interacts with God when we pray, meditate or filled with power of Holy Spirit .
The part of trinity is simply comparison he makes that God is Father, Son and Holy Spirit which coincides with man having body, soul and spirit.
I remember the very day, when the Holy Spirit moved into me. (At salvation) I’ll never forget it! It rocked my world. I cried like a baby. I didn’t understand it at first, but later the Lord said to me. What happens when a baby is born? I said it cries. He said you have been born again!

I have been praying for years. Asking God to show me my path. I still don't know fully, but years ago I had an amazing urge to preach the word of God and become a colporter! I have been trying to "feel" the "Spirit" it in my soul!! NOW I understand - THANK YOU!! This was a huge missing piece for me. I was so worried that I couldn't "feel" it, which was causing my faith to be rocked. But with your explanation made things a LOT clearer

Amen, before, i live a soullish life. And now by the help of the holy spirit, I was born again and became a real Christian.
Being born again does not equate salvation. One has to be a doer. Faith without works is dead, James 2:24-26. Salvation is an ongoing process. One has to be perfect for God is perfect. Only God knows who'll go to heaven/eternal life. Nobody & nobody knows for sure of one's salvation, so, "once saved is always saved" is not applicable; a man-made doctrine, false teaching= no salvation but damnation to hell.

It has taken me 39 years of my life to discern my spirit, by the grace of God. He reached out to me (unexpectedly) and instructed me to read, learn his word and lead my family (a work in progress) to walk with him. Just like working out muscles in the body by isolating them with focus, training and exercise. I've learned to isolate, train and exercise the spirit of the mind as opposed to the spirit of the flesh. It is incredible how unlocking my spirit and the direct connection with the Holy Spirit through Jesus Christ has guided my understanding of his word and the truth. I once was blind but now I see. This is what the Lord taught me about the soul and spirit. Paul stated that when I pray in the spirit my mind is unfruitful. The Holy Spirit then led me to count to ten silently in my mind. I percieved the voice of my soul in my head. The Holy Spirit then led me to pray in tongues silently. Wow! I percieved the voice of my spirit from by inner being. They were totally different. It was experience. Now, thirty some odd years later I am still striving moment by moment to quench the voice of my soul and by the power of the Holy Spirit to rise in the inner man to control my mind; thoughts, emotions, and will. I know that no good thing lives in me that is in my flesh. I pray and yield my soul to the cross moment by moment that my spirit by the power of the Holy Spirit controls my mind. Oh wretched man that I am, who will save me from this life of death. I thank God my Father for His Son our Lord and savior Jesus Christ.
