Totally lucked out like nearly two years ago July 2021 and picked up an Xtreme 1.5” in brown… I was so impressed that I went ahead and immediately ordered one in black as well. I say I lucked out as it was tempting to just go for a Gunners belt non stitched or stitched, yet something told me that I should step up for the Xtreme. I did order the belt with the steel core to try out but I found it to be a bit much for my needs and that the Xtreme belts would serve me much better. On this note Hanks Belts customer service is phenomenal and made my dealings with them an absolute pleasure.

Best belts ever made, I bought the extreme belt 1.5 inch in brown, then i ordered the black tactical belt with the black buckle 1.5 inch, loved how thick they were, both are single ply leather.. both were at least .25 inch thick, can handle anything you hang on it! I highly recommend their top end quality belts. If you carry then this is the belts to get!! Will last me my lifetime i'm sure, Thanks Hank's Belt...for making the belts like they should be!!! And American made.. 🇺🇸👍
Ok.. I will order the xtreme 1.5 in dark brown..did my research on gun belt companies to indicate which one will rig my holsterwelt sickinger lightning cross draw and for our upcoming Ruger gp100 wiley clapp talo edition 357mag in 3"barrel Hawkeye matted finish! Can't wait.. we did some serious research on all 3 items to make it happen for 2023.. we live in west state CO. Near the San Juan's to where the deeper you go in, (hiking n fishing) you're dang near on the food chain when it comes to camping so we confidently need good solid back up by my side, we have family from other states coming to visit and we want them to feel comfortable and safe that deep in the woods. Plus for home defense purposes too. Thank you for great information and video! Go get you one!
Just got one of these and I like very it much. I like that it's beefy but still a single layer, I have have had issues with laminated belts coming apart. It's also quite comfortable considering it is such a sturdy belt, doesn't feel any different from a typical dress belt. I carry OWB in a high riding holster and the belt does a good job in keeping my rig from rolling out and printing.
I've got the Gunner Eagle, The Ranger, steel core and just ordered (should be in tomorrow) the Deputy. Folks these are the best belts on the market. I've run out of pants....or I'd order more. I get nothing for saying this (wish I did) but I wasted a bucket of money on cheap gun belts that were crap. I'd be way ahead if I had found Hanks sooner.
Question, what specific type of hide do you guys use in your Xtreme belt? Steerhide, Bull hide, Bison? Surely it must be a big animal because it's rated at 17 oz.
Both are great rugged belts. The Bison is a bit heavier and much fancier finish but if you need a good solid belt at a lower cost the Extreme is kick a**!

what is bridle tanned leather? Is it the same a vegetable tanned
Bridle leather is a Veg tanned leather but has a different finish on it. Basically a bit more oil content. Both are very nice.
are these too much for everyday use? too bulky or heavy?
Personal preference but it is one of our best-selling belts! I don't think it is too bulky at all.
I use my 1.5 extreme for everyday wear with and with out firearm.
