it's so rare to get an HFY that's actually interesting. It's refreshing to get a story that isn't just 'aliens shocked to learn of humanities hyper advanced and gigantic hidden military'. Weaponizing our heterogenous culture like the protagonist did is something I hadn't seen in any fiction before. It was pretty cool and makes a lot of sense. We even have real world precedence for this with the Native Americans that served as code talkers in WW2. they're language formed an unbreakable form of encryption during the war as the Germans and Japanese had no way to identify or translate what languages they were intercepting over the radio. The reddit OP wrote something really cool, and it's a real treat to hear it actually narrated instead of relegated to yet another ai slop post. hearing the character actually speak the other languages and have an accent of their own all while being accompanied by accurate subtitles was awesome. I've missed seeing these kinds of videos on TH-cam.
What? Not liking true Death Worlder stories? Shame! Just kidding. I like to twist those ideas. So some shameless self advertisement: You might have fun reading "What Humans Fear" on HFY. Or, if we all get lucky, it will be narrated by Birbleton.
I remember reading this on Reddit. I preferred the happy ending over the 'room for you in this grave' ending. I'm glad this is being narrated by this content narrator.
Yeah, it doesn't help trying to "Do Not Rrcommend Channel" either, because they have dozens of channels with the same names and they keep getting recommended.
I was already subscribed because of the human-read story, the quality of the production was still good, so I now activated the bell. The subtitles were also excellent, although the used "matrix printer" letter type was not easy to read. I can't wait until you publish part two of this story and I hope it is just as good.
I'll take a look at the font. I really love the look of the old VHS style text, but a couple of viewers have mentioned it being hard to read haha. Glad you enjoyed it :)
I really enjoy what you are doing. I'm not a big fan of sci-fy, yet every story is so nice to listen. To the point I even started to get intrigue by this subreddit
Excellent work. First time you've shown up on my feed. Just subscribed because not AI and excellent reading voice. Would love a list of AI readers to ban so they don't clutter up my feed. (oh god, dutch)

You know, when I wrote this, I did not consider the pain I might be putting narrators through when it came to a full dutch sentence...
We spent so long practicing it as well haha
@@BirbletonVA I believe you did very well for a none native speaker.
Should have put the Dutch word for five in there multiple times. I'm told it's nearly impossible for a non-native speaker to say it correctly :)

It's weird how hard it is for my mind to switch from english to dutch when I don't expect it. And I am dutch.
8:31 "It's called we do a little trolling, a little trolling..."
XD!! He's fuckin with him!!!

Ahh, another great Narration from the Birbs. Thank you very much for this.
Much better than the shitty A.I version I heard first..

Y'all are about at the "find out" stage. Hang on, the popcorn isn't ready yet...

@@BirbletonVA Lol, being Gen X I didn't even notice it was the VCR script, because i've seen it so often it's just natural.
