Shaving with a Shavette Razor: A Shave with The Japanese Feather Professional Artist Club SS Razor 👍

- Shaving with a modern Japanese shavette style razor, made by The Feather Safety Razor Co. Ltd. This is a Kamasori style razor, which is a very different shave from any other safety razor.
The razor is lightweight, easy to manoeuvre and gives a close shave but care is needed. I have used a Feather Softguard razor blade, today and the soap today is a gourmand soap from Ariana and Evans called Cacao Lussuria.

Wow ! You showed that so easy
It's the blade I think that makes all the difference, with these razors, and a bit of practice, of course. Cheers.
great skill and knowledge, regards dapper shaves
Thank you, Jacques.
Well-done, Mark. You're a braver and more patient man than I. 😊
Thank you Adrian. I laugh in the face of fear - sometimes 😅
You do very well with that razor. Much braver than i would ever be. Nice video. See you on the next one. Take care - Josh
Thanks, you too Josh. All the best.
they are easier to use than most believe, regards dapper shaves
Nice shave Mark. Appreciate the instructions and insight. I saved this informative one off for if/when I start this type of shaving. Cheers!
its a wonderful journey and opportunity to learn new skills. regards dapper shaves
Hi, Chris. I'm glad you appreciated the content and thought it worthy of saving. Thank you. As Jacques comments below, it is indeed a wonderful journey.
Great shave, you looked like you enjoyed yourself.
I did. Perhaps it was just that I was used to this style of razor. I'm not sure. All the best.
Nice one Mark, thanks for an instructive insight into the razor and technique.
You're welcome, Roy. Thank you.
Thank you
You're welcome
one of my go to shavettes mate i really enjoy use by it . i use the tin tan mild in mine great blade 👍 oooo don’t know if i would use that soap or take a bite out of it 🤣🤣🤣🤣
The tin tan mild. You can't them, Paul 😄 Nice Shavette. Certainly a better experience than last weeks, although that was good. I'm enjoying this shavette experience.
tasty stuff 😂 regards dapper shaves
Nice shavette shave Mark! Good information on the blades. I haven't got any AC style razors, but I like to learn as much as I can about all the different ways one can shave traditionally 😎👍
Have a good one!
Steve
AC blades and razors are fantastic, easy to use and sharp. regards dapper shaves
Thank you, Steve. Jacques' comment below is spot on, as always. I do like the extra length of the blade.
A great shave with some excellent insight, Mark. I can't help but feel that you may well have helped some with the information about those blades, as they can feel a little daunting.
Thanks 👍 I only found that information by chance Lee, so it was good to include a link, that was probably better than my explanation. Cheers.
@@FriendshipShaving you are far more help than you give yourself credit for.
Great shave Mark. I have the same razor but it’s green. I’m much more comfortable using it than a folding style shavette. I think it’s much lured awkward for me. I’m a fan of the Schick p30 blades. I tried a guarded Kai but just couldn’t get the hang of it. When I bought it the green handle was half the price. $45 US
Hello, my friend. I shall have to look out for you shaving with it on one of your videos. You bought it at a very good price indeed. Nice buy.
great feedback 🙏🏻 regards dapper shaves
@@FriendshipShavingI just posted my feather SS video not near as smooth with it as you
@@bowtiern8292 I'm actually just a little into watching your video. Last night's late night viewing!
I appreciate the review, found this razor in lime color on Amazon for $56 USD, seemed like a steal for the quality of this blade. I went for the pro-guard blade, assuming that will be a pretty mild shave.
Nice find! That's a great price and the pro guard will protect you while you get used to it. Enjoy 😃
Nice shave. It looked to me like you enjoyed this shave better then the last shavette you used. You did a really good job. Im still getting my technique down. Have a great week 👍
I think I did Andrew, it may only be because I am more used to this razor, having owned one before. All the best.
Excellent shave, hello Mark! Visually, I really like this type of razor! I'm making slow progress, as you've probably seen. 200 subscribers have been reached! So I made a worldwide giveaway! Have a nice day Mark!
Hello Robert. You will get there, in the end. Don't be in a hurry as enjoying the journey is all part of the fun. As you know. All the very best to you and your subscribers.👍
None of the Feather Artisan blades suit me. I have to use Schick blades. My beard is thick and dense and yhe Feather blades just aren't comfortable.
Hi Mayur. Thank you for this information - it's always great to know the other side knowing that fellows who read the comments, with similar facial hair to your own, may find this very useful.
Schick blades are brilliant, I find the DE to be exceptional! regards dapper shaves
