      When they go in to intubate a patient or assess them they gown up with N-95's and all PPE. This is while they are in the hallways - with the patient doors closed.

    I think more reporting like this needs to be done, too many people still aren't taking this seriously and think it's "just a flu".

    • @robearl1983
      @robearl1983 4 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      Actually the flu kills many more than this does.

    • @joycewills734

      @@robearl1983Covid 19, spreads much quickier, is more painful, and causes more long term damage even if you recover. Can also cause brain damage, lung damage, liver, kidney damage. The flu does not cause any of this. Do some more research, relying solely on general statistics, is a very dangerous method to assess this virus.
      Be well, stay safe.

      @@joycewills734 where are the tens of thousands dead in Canada?? I live right by a home for the mentally disabled. They used to go out once a week and they loved it, the police were there the other day because the isolation has caused a couple of them to go nearly insane. People like you are complete bullies and should be ashamed of the economic and mental destruction you've caused.

      @Jon Tron It made sense to me. The majority of our cases came from Canadians travelling to the US. The current cases are from community transmission.

    They are wearing surgical masks????? Wth... if it is so serious why aren’t they wearing at least N95?

    • @michellewilson7412
      @michellewilson7412 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      JesusSaves RunningRaven they don’t have the virus the patients do. Look inside the rooms where the patients are. They are wearing protective equipment.

    • @RunningRlust96
      @RunningRlust96 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      They should be wearing them at all times... how do they know a patient does not have it???? I would be scared not to (from a nurse who worked during SARs)

    • @shieh.4743
      @shieh.4743 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@RunningRlust96 There aren't enough to use them full time. Within the ICU, they are reserving N95s for direct patient interaction. It's dangerous indeed.

    The lockdown made it worse people can come out side whatever they want and let people go places

    • @joycewills734
      @joycewills734 4 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      No the lockdown did not make it worse. Community spread would have made it worse, and can still make it worse.

      @Geto Daco No. No we haven't. No flu season in modern history has brought Italian or Spanish or New York hospitals to its knees. No flu season has needed multiple refrigerates trucks or ice rinks to serve as makeshift large morgues.

    Hey CBC. Where's the interviews with the long term care providers?
    You know, the men and women that work long hours taking care of people, THE SAME PEOPLE, for years and years. The ones that make connections with their seniors(and they do) and love them.
    I'm all for appreciation for the health care workers, but that started someplace else first.
    Why is there a decided bend to the stories CBC? Why are you only focusing on EXPERTS or AFFLUENCE and not PEOPLE?
