The bookstore there is great, lovely old crooked shop inside and lots of hidden gems. I live in Australia now so it's lovely to see East grinstead. The old buildings are really beautiful.

oo I consider my self a Greast Insteder .My mum &dad came from E G they went to Wild Hill in Herts for the work which is conco jungle not very nice but Sussex is lovly and everso expencive i now live in Bristol which is conco Thanks for the trip round EG ttfn&ty

East Grinstead is the nearest train station to Ashdown Forest, where Winnie the Pooh is set.
In the book "Winnie the Pooh Meets the Queen" (known as "Winnie the Pooh and the Royal Birthday" in the audiobook adaptation), which was published to celebrate the Queen's 90th birthday and the 90th anniversary of Winnie the Pooh, Pooh, Piglet, Eeyore and Christopher Robin travel to London on the train from East Grinstead to deliver a birthday present to the Queen.

Good video JBM Travels.....East Grinstead is my local town ... at time stamp 10.34 you walk over the paved area where the three Protestant martyr`s were burned to death in 1556....apparently when excavating for drainage work quite recently the workers came across an area of charred earth there ....there are three engraved stones at St.Swithuns church which is located about 60 metres North and east of that spot ....Kind regards and keep up the great video`s

Got paid a bomb to play rugby for East Grinstead back in 2012/2013. Loved the people, the town and the pubs when I was living there. I actually miss it!

I think East Grinstead is in Sussex as I pay my council tax to Mid Sussex Council.Probably it was in Surrey in the past.

It was in East Sussex when Sussex was first divided. Now it's in West Sussex.
