I was able to get replacements and repaired my unit myself, and I installed an in-line fuse rated at 3 amps to protect it against a similar occurrence. Programming is very easy but you cant read the value in the CV, it's write only.
how can I change the whistle sound cv because when I hit the whistle it makes a couple of sound and I don't have the DC Master but I do have a nce power cab for DCC bec this made for both dc/dcc blueline,and have to say this is one of a big headache,iv been looking on Google and nothing I found is helping,oh and when I do a factory reset it's still the same way not sure what the factory did but this is not fun to fix.

Yes, that is correct. It controls the sounds in Broadway Limited sound locomotives only.

No you don’t have to unhook it.

You still use your DC power pack as normal, the DC Master is just for the sounds.
