Well that was treat on a wet and wild day in the Pennines in my flat with the heating on. Really, really enjoyable in every sense of the word. Well done you duo of motoring experts on all things classic! Thank you. Rob
Superb video Rick, as always. Your commentaries are always interesting and knowledgeable, I could listen to you all day ! My particular favourite would be one of the triumph tr4s or tr250s , cracking looking cars. Thanks
Just watched this, very good as always! We were there the same day, muddy and cool! My first port of call is always the autojumble, I bought a boxed Lancaster compass, very pleased with that!
Interesting contrast between the side by side arrival of the Camaro and Austin 7. It would be an agonising choice which to take home. I trust the Youthful Assistant was sent to his room to write 100 times "I must not confuse Notek and Wipac spot lights". 😄
Bit too precious about my classic and don’t relish covering the underside with wet mud. I don’t have the facilities to clean the underneath. I will have to do a through weather check before venturing to my booked show grounds this year
Hi 👋 Excellent car show. The grey Standard 10 is exactly the same as my grandfather had . I bought those Observer books like yours. You have kept your copy. I would buy the British Daily Mail car magazines too. They displayed world cars in them new on the market in the 1970s. The building in the background is amazing . I could spend all day looking at that. We don't have anything like that here in New Zealand. Enjoyed your video and commentary. From Carl.
Thanks Carl, yes I know the Daily Mail magazines you're referring to, there are one or two around here I think including one from 1959 if I remember right
@@oldclassiccarUK Wow , I didn't realize they went that far back in time. I bought mine at the newsagents 50 years ago now. I would have thrown them out sometime. I wished I had kept them.
Ref the Triumph Heralds at this show. One ever sees a Triumph Herald COUPE, WHICH WERE A 2 seater and had the lifting handle on the bonnet. I remember seeing one in 1958 parked near my prep school in Deganwy
@@oldclassiccarUK ps - now viewing the second half of your video and got to the bit where you have your mx5 boot open. Comparing to mine, have you decided on an extra large battery which requires the moving of the spare wheel? Looks very different to mine - just curious.
@@oldclassiccarUK Unfortunately these videos, although interesting, are now far too long for me to watch anymore, also now it seems on a Saturday evening when I am doing my books. You must have lots of spare time or be retired............
@@richardsealey3626 Hi, if you read my previous community posts, this one was uploaded Saturday evening as opposed to the usual Sunday timeslot due to it being somewhat longer than most uploads on here. You can still watch on a Sunday morning as usual, but if this one's a bit too long for you then just skip it until something shorter comes along (like next weekend's). Thanks for looking in.
@@oldclassiccarUK I eagerly await these, and when they arrive I like to look at them as soon as possible, but the one on Saturday was a bit of a shock! I have watched it now, and I would never "skip" them! Thanks for you reply........
@@richardsealey3626 I watch them in 30 min chunks. TH-cam is quite good like that - if you're Subscribed and exit a video, the next day when you click back on to it it remembers your place so you can pick up where you left off👍
Hello Richard . Hard going at times and lots of post show cleaning no doubt . How do you compare the Jaguar V12 against the BMW ? Very precise driving from Harley ! Thanks Richzrd
I remember my parents booking a cab in the early fifties to take us to the railway station during our summer holidays (Norwich Thorpe) and it was always a V8 Pilot. As an excited passenger I was amazed at the quietness and refinement of the flat head engine compared with the smoking noisy cars of british origin, and a great shame when they were phased out to make way for inferior models. Also, the microphone of that irritating commentator should have been unplugged and used for anothe purpose.........
I worked on the BL junk in the 70-90s, terrible, all of it, to have that stuff restored just does not make sense, its like putting new windscreen wipers on with a smashed screen LOL.

That beautiful Standard Vignale Estate must be very, very rare today, even in Great Britain. As a fan of British cars I very much enjoy the videos.
Thanks!
Excellent video.
Glad you liked it!
Your knowledge on cars is amazing 👍👍👍👍😊
There are plenty of gaps! thanks for watching
Great vidéo 👌
Fantastic video well done.
Ps im the owner of the bonkers VW Nova you mentioned
Ha cool, the Nova I had a ride in (early 1980s) had the seats in it from the Condor Man film car :)

Thanks Rob, plenty more like this elsewhere on the channel with more lined up in future. Yes the weather's pretty miserable here too :)
Wow long video, but you know I really enjoyed it. Thanks Mr. OCC!👍🤗

Ha he pulls my leg as much as I pull his, usually over JDM or supercar identifications which I usually get wrong :)
You did well to get to that show, Many shows in our part of the west midlands have been cancelled due to waterlogging or flooding
Thanks, I believe day 2 was very very soggy

great blog Gary from Crewe
The dog was the real star of the show 😉🥰🍀
Ha yes it was a jolly nice example :)

Epic video RJ
Thanks Vince, I promise they won't all be quite this "epic" :)
The dark blue over grey was a Silver Wraith with body by James Young
Nice to see

Occasionally they turn up, either with the smooth or ribbed roof
I always loved the "Hillman Husky" until I saw the "Jowett Bradford", a most practical vehicle!
Thank you, interesting marvellous script, a real treat ,very well done.
Thanks, although I just make it up as I go along :)
you did very well to keep the commentary going in that queue👏

Quite outstanding 👏🏻👌🏻👍🏻
Thanks we were very lucky with the weather at this one
Great selection of cars on this video. Green sure suits that lovely old Pilot.
Thanks Nev, glad you liked it
Great video some interesting cars liked the Vauxhall Victor wagon, the drive in the Pilot with Harley was great cheers

Can't believe I didn't see one VOLVO 940 in this show !....I shall correct that for next year !
By the way ...Great video...I learn a lot from them !
Thanks for watching, if I see a 940 I'll pop it in to the vids in future
The Cadillac is a 1960 not a 1959. An observance from the other side of the pond. 👍
Suzuki GT 250,not 750😉
Honda Crossroad is a rebadged Land Rover Discovery, sold only in Japan
Hi rick, another great vid.youput quite lot into your vids. I watched this one twice lol.glad dads on the mend.well done.❤
Thanks 👍
My first car here in the USA was an 8 year old Triumph Spitfire. An early MK 3 with center wood dash binnacle.
Hello Richard . Hard going at times and lots of post show cleaning no doubt . How do you compare the Jaguar V12 against the BMW ? Very precise driving from Harley ! Thanks Richzrd
There is no comparison, the BMW V12 is far superior.................
They're both excellent V12s tbh, Jaguar's was designed back in the 1960s whereas BMWs is much newer and has a lot more tech
Should be more Morgans!
They'll be out and about again soon I'm sure :) thanks for watching
love your show but would like to see more 1948/52 A40s if poss thanks for your effort and pasion
I'll do my best but we don't often encounter Devons, Dorsets or Somersets, but I'll bear that in mind!
The 1935 10hp Lanchester has the angled side window hoods similar to a Mulliner-bodied Daimler 15 of the same year.
How long before Harley gets his driver's licence? Hi.from Australia.
Alarmingly soon I expect :)

I was refering to the blue one with the fins,, as the white cadillac is probly a 64 as im not a expert...
I would love a V8 MGB roadster
