Any reason you guys aren't selling the larger frag racks from Reef Rax? I'm using the Reef Rax Large Shelf with 20 frag plugs but wasn't able to buy it from BRS. Just wondering if there's any issues with the bigger ones that I need to look out for.
Thomas!! Hey dude, thanks! Bought my shelf a couple weeks ago to change out that unnatural rack you saw and give those corals a permanent home. Great video.
Thomas Burton I chose the purple nano shelf. With the sealed magnets on both sides I’m able to put the shelf on the back false wall instead of the glass. Win for me!!
I love my salt fish tank like a child and I love using my reef rax, because I know even though as my love for the ocean I’m not killing a coral for it and taking away from the ecosystem, AND MOST OF ALL it allows me to easily place reef rax coral I purchase without redesigning my entire tank bcs of the useful magnets and mostly it’s such a good look
I bought one of these a couple years ago and just bought another one and it looks like they changed the material or the way they make them. It doesn’t look as much like real rock as it did before. Still a nice product and a good option to add more real estate for corals when you run out of room. I just wish it looked like they did when they were first making them.
I kinda hate how fake it looks ar first. Do you guys sell any/recommend any reef safe magnetics I could use to build my own out of a small piece of dry rock?
I bought the ones made to sit on the bottom. 1. They are light; gets blown across the tank by the powerhead. 2. The purple turns bright blue in the tank under LED lights. 3. The edges break easily. 4. Loaded with silicates; when I put one in my tank it turned into a big brown diatoms factory. They do hold frags and you can build some nice Zoa gardens with them.
Ok I'm sold on these.. Hoping someday BRS will give some thoughts on dipping added fish safely..not everyone has a quarantine tank, so what products are available to help eliminate ich and other fish parasites and potential ailments?
Unfortunately, there is no reef safe treatment for ich. You'll have to either QT your fish before adding to your tank or buy from someone who does a proper QT for you like Marine Collectors.
What's your favorite way to mount frags in your display tank? Have you considered something like this for even more coral real estate in the tank?

Thomas is dope. I wonder if he thought to say, “frag rack” was a bit of a tongue twister?
