I received these Pom Pom makers in a Christmas craft kit however there were no instruction for them☹️ thank you so much for this tutorial you’ve saved the whole kit! 😁
The best video tutorial for making pompoms. I had a Clover and gave it to my daughter in law. I didnt know Sizzix had pompom makers. I just received mine and watched your video. I "stuffed" mine until there was no more space bu the difficulty arose😫 Too thick to get the best sharp scissors to go through this THICKNESS. Finally got the job done. The pompom is gorgeous and stunning. It looked a tennis ball. My Newfoundland had her eyes FIXED on my pompom she thought it was her toy. Thanks for sharing caring and making me smile 😘😁💗💓💐🥰👍👍👍👍👍 a big hug from France
I'm going to be a grandmother this month and these Pom Pom makers are awesome! Not only easier to make but there are much more sizes to choose from. Thank you so much for the tutorial. I always enjoy watching your tutorials. They are so easy to follow.
I use the clover pom pom maker, very similar, so much easier and quicker than cardboard. When I have cut the yarn, I put double yarn around it, pull tight then around again and pull tight then knot.
thanks for the tutorial, i just got these and didn't know what to do with them, and now i know and my pom pom is so beautiful thank u so much much luv from Winnipeg Manitoba CANADA
Thank you!!! I got a set of these online, and the instructions were indecipherable...your video made it so easy! :) I just made my first pompom ever, and I am beyond delighted.
Love, love, love your tutorials and soothing voice sugar, but if someone as skilled as you are has to be that gentle with the pom pom maker, I know that I would never be able to use it. Please keep your tutorials coming because I absolutely adore them!!! You're the best sweetie!
Thank you so much, ive been using cardboard ones and let me just say this, they have all broken in the first 6 weeks in using them, so i got plastic ones and there were no instructions, so thank you!!!
i absolutely LOVE my clover pom pom makers. i have the smaller ones and actually just ordered my large and extra large ones yesterday and they should be here tomorrow. love them. it seems to make my life way easier. even after using cardboard for the past 25 years to make them, i still prefer my pom pom makers.
Mikey, thank you so much for your video on this particular pom pom maker. It influenced my decision to purchase this item watching how easily you used this. I have always disliked making pom poms. Now I can make them easily and quickly. Thank you once again.
I always wanted to make pompoms when I was a kid but it was to complicated, my pompom maker just arrived today your video was great, easy to follow and I've made two pompoms for my pets and she loves them I'm over the moon :D thank you so much
If you only want very small poms this might work - I wanted larger poms for hats - with the smaller poms you can hold all the strands on the tool with your thumb - if making a larger pom all the little strands fall on the floor as soon as you cut them loose - I couldn't be more disappointed!!!
great video i had these since they came out and your video just made all the since in the world to me about how to use these and they are make amazing great pom pom
. Step 5: Cut the yarn in between the two plastic pieces *cuts yarn* . Step 6: Tie pom-pom through the center *Pulls yarn through center* *Stares at monstrosity* *Reads packaging again* *Stares at monstrosity again* "F**K it, I'm looking for the Crochet Crowd walkthrough for Pom-Pom makers." And this is the story of my first experience with a Pom-Pom maker. Thank you, Crochet Crowd, for saving my Crochet project once again! ^_^
Thanks for your great demonstration! It looks like a really efficient and user-friendly tool. Unfortunately, I found the one and only they had in the shop I went to, and it's horrible...
Cynthia Pearman , Hi Cynthia, yeah my mother used to have the long ones that had a slit on both sides of it, then you would rap the yarn around it, I haven't seen them in years I just got me a 2 pack the other day like the lady was showing but when you have arthritis in your hands it's a little more difficult to do the cutting, I just got me a new pair of scissors for it and still have problems cutting it, although I know I'm not the only one that has arthritis but I wanted to make one of those small rugs with them, I'm pretty sure that you've seen what I'm talking bout
The Clover pompom maker is the best. The one above is just a cheaper version. If you make a lot of pompoms invest in the ones made by Clover. You can order online.
This is the only tutorial that helped me make sense of this pom pom maker, the instructions on the packaging were awful! I will say to be sure you have very sharp scissors to cut through the yarn layers! I used *brand new* scissors and they just weren't doing the job. I ended up returning them and buying ones a good 3x the price and they worked beautifully. Definitely get what you pay for with shears ❤
there's no offense taken. With being global, it's not accessible to have all of the tools that people have access to. Use what you love and most of all create what makes you happy.
@@TheCrochetCrowd Hi there Sorry I got your name wrong, Mikey. Kind of you not to mention it. Well, we all make our lives as easy as we can. But as you say you are ok with this pom pom maker I am not. I still don't get it why some people need instructions for pom pom makers? This sounds very cocky of me. I suggest like I do it twist and turn it, open and close it and you know what to do. As simple as that.
But no matter how tight I pull the central yarn and knot around the center - the snipped yarns of the pompom will fall out - so I always take a needle and thread and stitch the yarns within the pompom a few times (if that makes sense). If anyone has hints they do to prevent yarns coming out please share!
When I order those pon pon makers does it have to be fair of each size, or one.? If so, how to to pin pons with one pon pon maker? I ordered on wish and it was one of each size
@@TheCrochetCrowd in your video you using two same size pon pon makers, but the set I bought it was one for each size. So question is should I buy two sets or I could use just one
Same issue here, I'm just going to order a second set. They came quickly enough and it wasn't exactly a deceptive ad - I just didn't know I needed two halves!
I'm sorry but idk how to message you. Is there a way to make a maple leaf blanket like you did with the star blanket? I can't find a pattern or video showing anything larger than a coaster. Any help from anyone would be great!
You can get the real good ones at Michaels I only paid like $12 for four different sizes and you don't have to hold anything do you have to make a lot of pom-poms this pom pom maker looks very hard to use and could become very messy that's just my opinion
Good lord! Worked first time! It NEVER works first time for me. Thank you. You have my sub, sir!

The British pom ppm maker clips nicely together and you don't have to be worried. No offense folks

Thank you for this video. I purchased this kit. The instructions on the box were not clear to me.
Thanks for vid

You’re welcome.

This video really helped. Thank you so much Im making a pom pom mat as they have a lovely texture. Had fun.
Well, kiss my how bout that! I need one of these in my life! Thanks Mikey for showing this! ❤👍🏻
They are similar to the Clover pompom maker!
I had a Pom Pom maker over 50 yrs ago.....Didn't have the white clips to hold it together. I might possible still have the set in may stash somewhere.
What yarn are you using? Its pretty
I think it's Caron Jumbo Yarn which is a variegated yarn that is 4 ply Medium #4 Worsted.
Mine fell apart I tried the middle tight? Thanks Marianne 😊
Thank you for your tutorial I just bought this but it came absolutely useless instructions Thank you once again I already have made few
Glad I could help! I really like this tool. I used a tutorial online to show me exactly how to use it. Wink wink! You aren't wrong.
what yarn is this? love the color variations.
Roy Stelzig almost looks like red heart Icelandic
I have a set of these, I bought them off ebay.. x
The Clover Pom Pom maker is far and above the one you are using...
It is the same thing when we used the ring strong paper
But no matter how tight I pull the central yarn and knot around the center - the snipped yarns of the pompom will fall out - so I always take a needle and thread and stitch the yarns within the pompom a few times (if that makes sense). I am following your directions but when I have completed it why is it that I can pull at the strings from the pom pom that I can pull them out??
Do you know what size you used?
what yarn is that? I'm dying to know.
I'm sorry but idk how to message you. Is there a way to make a maple leaf blanket like you did with the star blanket? I can't find a pattern or video showing anything larger than a coaster. Any help from anyone would be great!
