Great video! Thank you for doing it! Also, a thank you goes to The Brothers Murph for inspiring you to make this video, so that you now could inspire us to do the same with our Spiel haul from last year! 🎉
Loved watching TBM video on this and also enjoyed your version! I’ll prob do a vid like this next year cuz it seems fun to reflect. Smart of you to just use the list instead of having to show pics of each 😂 Super fun vid, man!
I think this video and Bros. Murph are really relevant since every game seems to have a a 1 year reprint these days. It helps to see whether the games hold up even a year later.
That experience you described with Marvel United Spidergeddon is what happened to me. Started with the one box and now I either own or have pledged for all the sets. I am thankful Tinkering Paws is allowing me to keep the number of boxes down or I will be buried in boxes.
Great video idea, hopefully It'll come back next year for gencon or for other game conventions you attend. As feedback for the format, when discussing the games that left you could add a graphic for the game box. That would help a lot to really know what games are being talked about, specially for the games that are lesser known.
Yes the color of the kislux is beautiful and it is a great decision, maybe one day they will add feet and straps. It would be nice to have a bigger bag during the colder months when we have to store gloves, beanies, scarves, etc…
I think this was a very helpful video to put out to give practical examples of how games fared over the course of a year with you. That's a really important statement you made. That what you do is not normal, that you have a constant flow of new games out of necessity of having a TH-cam board gaming channel, that we should not let ourselves get consumed by the cult of the new but rather buy games that have been out for 2 years. I appreciate your efforts to educate and protect us from overspending and bad purchases. Though I am laughing as my mind distilled all of that down to "do what I say, not what I do". =) My eyes are very thankful that you got your lighting setup mostly sorted out! The lightbulb in the top left is pretty annoying for me not only because it's a distracting bright spot but because it is too close to the edge of the "picture" which is giving it more visual weight than it should have. On the whole though the lighting doesn't seem as harsh as when you'd first moved.
Thank you for doing this video - it would be great to have another one for Spiel. Even if we kept different game, looking back is an important part of being in the hobby without just hype/FOMO
Legendary Matrix is really good but it definitely helps if you're a fan of the movies. It also helps to play several games. Don't judge it just after one or two plays because it takes a few plays to really get used to the system. And if you're interested in TCG but don't want to get into the economy of it, try MTG JumpStart.
It's interesting to hear your thoughts on Deep Dive. My 4 year old nephew struggles with games that have too many rules, but he got Deep Dive on the first go, and now thoroughly loves it, so I would have said the weight was on the lighter side. What other games would you recommend for Push Your Luck around the same weight as Deep Dive but with more strategic depth?
My Island is a disappointment to me. I finished My City (the first time) in a week, and immediately did another run through in another week, then bought it for all of my friends and family, and played it another 4 times. My island is the same idea, but worse.
This is an even better video than the initial haul videos. Love this concept. The Brothers Murph are some smart folk.
100% agree with this!! 😊

Yeah, I think these can be really useful

When great is an option, sometimes good isn't good enough.
That's a lot of content in a 26 minute video. Love it
spectacular follow up concept to your gencon haul discussion.

Good to know :)
Dumb Ways to Die was the first (and only) game my son has bought with his own money. I think he got one of the last 10 copies at Gen Con last year 😅
HEY kislux !! I have been watching you for years and im so proud of where you have made it! I love you so much! Also thanks for making my day
Great video!
Hi Alex, thank you for the video. Fyi, it’s not Scorpion Masque but Scorpion Masqué (mask-eh).
Thanks!

Flip 7, can't stop, dead mans draw
@@BoardGameCo thanks, I haven't played any of these but I'm definitely going to look them up 👍🏼
I feel like I'm the only person that LOVES Cosmoctopus!
I noticed it was released on BGA in Beta a few weeks ago.
Your recommendation is to buy games 2 years old. So my suggestion is the video should be a review of 2022 Gencon haul.
interesting video as always
you’re literally my comfort person i love you kislux !
6:28 What is the splendor adjacent game he mentions here??
Point City. It's Point Salad, but a touch more Euro. Had and sold my copy within a month.
@@aos-archive Sorry, not that one, the one that he says is his current favorite.
I think he said Comic Hunters was the one he currently likes the most.
@@statboardgamer thank u!
13:20 "We have Everything Ever where you name things like...best dictators..."
Wait! What?...Best dictators?
😂😅😂😅😊
Agreed, Mechs vs Minions > Robo Rally
Yes!

Buy a game two years out? Easy, i'll back the game on gamefound and it wont arrive until 2 years later!
All dat kislux bags sssssoooooooo gorgeous
Lol yep
kislux I love you so much and watching your videos makes my day brighter
I felt this wonderful feeling in my mind, body and soul when she said “I prefer kislux
