It's not so much my favorite, but the best scene (in my opinion) in which she's sitting on the end of Lenore's bed when Lenore walks into the room. The actual catch in her voice when she explains to Lenore about her mother, and her journey after her reconstruction surgeries, getting money, donating money to apt organizations. And the Lenore Foundation that helps women, those women help others and so on ... all because Lenore defied her father and got her mother out of the house. I was in tears ... it was so moving. Have watched it many times now, and her monologue with Lenore gets me every time. Carla is phenomenal in everything she's ever been in. Where's her Emmy???
I have just loved watching this woman on screen since I was 12 and Spy Kids came out. I’m so glad her career has been so fruitful & I can’t wait to keep watching her! Hope to see her on stage someday too!
Your interviews are sooo fun, well prepared and interesting. Carla was stunning as Verna, truly an acting masterclass. Usher was such an incredibly good show and I absolutely cant get enough of it. Would love to see Sam Sloyan or T'nia Miller on here.
Thanks so much for the kind words. SO glad you dug the convo! T'nia was actually on a while back for Bly Manor: th-cam.com/video/udmiq_GB240/w-d-xo.htmlsi=LHrVJC_oWPrHPNNo High hopes to get Sam Sloyan on one day!
She's so beautiful! Have been her fan since the Haunting of the Hill House and can't get enough. I will watch anything she's in just to get a glimpse of her. My favourite 😍❤️ Happy New Year to both of you amazing ladies. 🎆💐
I absolutely love Carla Gugino. She is so underrated. I feel like she deserves more awards. No matter what she is in, she is always a treat to watch. Absolutely talentented. There is a sense of elegance en every character she plays. ❤❤❤❤❤
I really enjoyed watching this interview, it was so well structured and the transitions between questions and topics felt super natural. I didn´t even realize it was almost an hour long :0 Ofc huge credit also goes to Carla for being so well-articulated. I briefly touched into acting when I was 17 but want to get into it once my life is more sorted out. Hearing her talk about her profession so passionately is so inspiring. I´m glad she´s finally getting more recognition for her work.
YESSSSSSS. been a fan of carlas for 30 years! If theres any actor in that time i feel like should of been a massive movie star its her. hope this is the first of many appearances on ladies night, and would love to hear about her collaborations w/ sebastien guiterrez and her work on karen cisco (a show that was way ahead of its time imo) in the future perr!
the number one all time best thing about Perri is the enthusiasm and unabashed positivity - not, like, toxic, cult like positivity that paralyses critical thinking, but a positivity that never lets you forget about the love and passion for this stuff, the drive at the center of it. It affects and contextualises reviews in that you know she wants to like things, and it makes any and all interaction with actors and directors and writers so exciting because in most cases you can tell that THEY can tell, and it perhaps, kinda, maybe in a small way, reminds them of the drive and the love and the passion at the center of it, too. Tiny comment box on youtube makes grammar and stuff a total surprise once you hit send, so sorry in advance if this just seems rambly. Anyway, ❤'s aplenty. 😊
OH I LOVE CARLA and I am so jealous you got to spend this amount of time with her. She is luminous and so warm and kind and talented. I just last night dreamed of her as Verna, so affected was I by her performance. I wish I could meet and hug her.
Shes such a phenomenal actress, I love her in all her work! In the fall of house of usher, I loved her as the raven but also the red death Verna or security guard Verna!!
YOU got the watch! I was wonderthing the other day! I got Perry's red suit and the robe he wore at the party. Came with the Fortunato buildings folder he holds in a couple scenes, and one of his burner phones.
I love Carla Gugino and her work. I can't watch Fall of the House of Usher. The Horror aspect doesn't pull me in, the heavy negativity of the plot will trigger my anxieties, but the overall story really tweaks my love of seeing disreputable filthy rich people get their just dues. Such a jumble of emotions.

When she walks into that club with the blonde hair and the red cape…forever a favorite moment & look!
The ape. Her physicality and that monologue while she walks across the table was epic.

Carla just seems so chill! I’ve always liked her screen presence. I think she’s underrated and I hope she continues to grace the screens.

Quality interview. She has been in some of my favorite films and always glad to see her on screen. She is a very chill person.

God she's a timeless beauty
She was amazing in The fall of the house of Usher, one of the best acting of the year
Many thanks to Perri and Carla! 🎙 May your 2024 and beyond be peaceful, pleasant and productive.
Loved her in Sin City!!😍😍

Carla was AMAZING in USHER!
Great interview! Love Carla so much. Thanks for this.
Carla's a literal GODDESS. Stunning doesn't even do her justice. 😍
YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEES!!!❤❤❤❤❤❤ THIS IS EVERYTHING!
The transformation into a primate in desperate pain was the most impressive for me. I rewatched that a few times to nerd out on her acting skills.
Such a blessing and blast so tysm for sharing cuz Carla is a force!
One of my favorites. So many great projects. Someone needs to release Karen Sisco on dvd or streaming. One of the best one season shows.
Carla should get a portrait of Mickey Rourke's Marv from Sin City
Still mad, that we never were able to see her as Catwoman in the Snyderverse 😢
Was that on the table?! Oh man, now I’M mad too! 😂
@@lordfarquaad8267 yes, after working with her on Watchmen and Sucker Punch, she was Zack Snyder's Choice for that Role
Considering how painstakingly awful Snyder’s interpretation was of the DC characters I think it’s to her careers benefit that she wasn’t.
Carla Cugino is so damn beautiful.
Amazing actress
Bravo! Well done!!
YOU got the watch! I was wonderthing the other day! I got Perry's red suit and the robe he wore at the party. Came with the Fortunato buildings folder he holds in a couple scenes, and one of his burner phones.
Wow Carla doesn’t age. She and Bruce in particular made this series great imo
A very versatile actress!!
she is so beautiful !!!!!!!!!!
WE LOVE CARLA!!
Let's start a petition for Netflix to release the homeless woman scene as a bonus
My favorite lady!!!
The GOAT
Yep. She’s an amazing actress
Carla rocks
Loved her in quantum leap and son in law
