all sthala puranas point to origins of tamil nadu temples from rishies who installed murthies or found there and did tapas there and then created a temple town there by appointing a king and getting a temple made. Today everybody who never did anything towards temples are claiming rights to temples, and driving out rishi parampara as outsiders! Nobody reads sthala puranas .
