Josh, I totally agree! Most of the time, our mindset is "I need to get there" but we barely think about what it's like when we get there. In my perspective, it's like as long as I get to play college soccer I'm satisfied. But since watching this informational video it got me more open-minded. And thanks for this video it really helped! Keep up the work and thank you for sharing your knowledge .
Exactly man, you can’t think that “I’ll be happy once I’m there” because it doesn’t work like that, once you accomplish that goal, set a bigger one and take advantage of the current situation you’re in! Glad you enjoyed brother🙌🏼
Thank you very much for this video! I took some notes about this D3 college that was interested in me and we set up a phone call and I was completely ready with all of the tips and questions you suggested! It went well and I this video helped a lot! Thanks!
I would 100% recommend, building connections like that will help you and will make you look better to the coach as you’ll be confident and interested, he’ll be more likely to remember you and pay attention to yoy
Thanks this video was great and helped a lot but when is the right time to try and set up a phone call. For example if you’ve been emailing back and forth and you’re nterested in attending an id camp of theirs would it be best before or after?
Thank you, glad it helped! It would be good either before or after, I think after a few emails between you guys it’s a good way to ask a lot of questions
@@JoshNewlinPerformance yea, I left him a voice mail, but I figured everything out. I got an offer from air force and used notes from your video and the call went amazingly well. Thanks sooo much!
Hi I have a quick question recently I have been having a back and forth conversation with a D3 coach and he asked me if I wanted to set up a phone call and I don’t know what to say because I just finished my freshman year and I don’t know if it’s to early to have a phone call with the coach
Okay, has it been directly emailing each other? The rules are supposed to prevent coaches from reaching out to you first until a certain date of your sophomore so it the coach’s responsibility and fault if rules are broken, it shouldn’t be yours. If you call a coach and then pick up, that’s within the rules but they aren’t supposed to call you first until a certain time your sophomore year
Coaches aren’t allowed to talk to you/reply until the summer before your junior year, so until then start putting together a good highlight video, getting good grades, and improving as a player overall!
Comment any questions you have and what your experiences with phone calls have been like!
I had a phone call with a D2! This really helped
Love to hear that! Wish you the best
Thank you so much for sharing your experience! It really helps to have somebody who helps you throughout the applying process.
Absolutely, I’m glad I can help! If you ever have any questions reach out

Hey, I keep getting texts from Drexel, but I’m not sure what to ask and what he is going to ask me, how can I prepare myself to not blow this?
It’s the coach texting you?

How would u deal with getting in contact and what to talk about as a sophomore?
