Been trying to solve my issue for 4 days now. This is what worked for me, I uninstalled COD completely, then I reinstalled just the base game on my Local C: Drive. I then launched it and it worked. So I quit out and then installed the add-ons. I believe it is acting up when you install it on an SSD or something because the Microsoft Store and Xbox App are installed on your C: Drive.

For you guys that have and M2 ssd of WD 2TB, I found out that this ssd’s can cause blue screens and crash games due to the windows update 22H2, so you need to update your ssd firmware, that fixed my issues with all my games, including bo6

However, yesterday I decided to re-install the base game on my other drive and I was getting a file write error which is a totally new problem, but I created a shortcut onto my desktop by clicking 'manage game' in the xbox app and ran that shortcut as administrator and this fixed it. Running cod.exe as administrator by itself didn't work. I doubt whether this was related to my 0x3 error as I was still getting that error even on my local drive until it fixed itself.
Well if quitting overwolf changed it to 0x1 I guess it's improving it? try: Press Win + R, type msconfig, and hit Enter. Go to the Services tab. Check Hide all Microsoft services. Click Disable all. Go to the Startup tab and open Task Manager. Disable all startup items. Restart your computer. Launch BO6 and see if it still crashes.
Man, these fixes only seem to work for a couple hours and then this damn game just closes randomly, nothing in Event Viewer that shows why, no error message. It might work for a day and then the next...boom! So irritating. When it runs, it runs perfectly
Do you know how I can disable cortex xdr? I believe that is what is blocking me from launching black ops and also blocking me from running your cmd commands. It doesn't let me into the virus protections settings where I can actually change things like tamper protection to uninstall cortex. This is weird because this is my personal computer and I have full administrator controls.
Since he didn't answer your question, no, steam version doesn't seem to have these issues. I play on gamepass and my buddy plays on steam. He hasn't crashed once since launch.

COD does not *at all* start in WIndows 7 or 8 modes in the compat modes, it is not compatible with that and simply tells you to visit support if you try.

try watching my video about optmizing BO6 for PC. But basically try lowering VRAM, if you can get into the graphical settings. If you're overclocking your GPU, then stop doing that. Also try updating your graphics drivers

Yeah that’s a graphical error, try lowering your Vram settings in your cod graphics to 60%. Also some people get this due to overclocking their cpu or gpu

But today I tried something a little different and it launches now, idk if you still need help but what finally worked is firstly deleting my xbox games folder on my c:/ drive (Drive with OS) and moving my "Call of Duty" application (via windows settings > storage > advanced storage settings > installed apps, NOT xbox app). I had the game in a seperate 'game only g:/ drive' but after moving it to the same location as my OS it worked. Also just in case it is relevant I tried to manually install battlenet from their website onto my g drive in the same folder (g:/ drive at the time) and repaired the installation but that didn't work. Following that I tried to move it to my c:/ drive as a last ditch attempt like mentioned before. Now that it launched I will see if I can migrate it back to the G drive and see if it works or not and update.

When I go to C:\XboxGames there is no Call of Duty folder. Everything is just put in the XboxGames folder. Do you know why this is?
