I think the owner was using it as a tractor when I saw the start, as ever you made it gleam again. Great job Heather, love your work. Clear and precise overview of the chemicals used. Your amazing 🤩
Thank you for the excellent video Heather. You transformed that filthy Passat into a sparkling gem 👌. Koch Chemie and Soft 99 make some truly exceptional products.
Heather. I finally got my Bosch 575X PRO to do snowfoam!! Got the Hydro MTM SG35, which I replaced instead of the Bosch gun. Next step an MJJC PRO 3. So now I’ve two decent pressure washers on the go, the Nilfisk P80 is still running a treat as well!! 👍👍👍👍
Great video from start to finish and appreciate the voice over explaining. I have similar wheels on my VW and when i done my first wash after i had brought the car I noticed there was a lot of water stains running down the wheels but I couldn’t figure out where it was from. After a few washes I realised it was the water which had dried up behind the nut caps which created limescale reacting to my wheel nuts. So every time the wheel would rotate the gunk would seep down the wheel ruining the gloss finish. So now when i give the wheels a wash I remove them and dry them completely. But now it’s a matter of finding a way or a product to use to remove the water stains.
Thanks for watching! Have you thought about getting a car dryer? I have the Blo Air-RS and it's great for blasting the water after a wash and should prevent those drips
I do love a filthy car to show the transformation to a glossy good as new look well in the main better than showroom condition. You used some products there that are going on my list of interesting additions for a wish list. Yum products are near the top with Starnagloss close by. The water behaviour with that Fusso coat QD foam looked as good as some ceramic coats. Another excellent video.
Nice work, Heather. I am getting on a bit, so find a mechanics seat on wheels saves strain on the knees when doing the wheels…LOL. Have you ever tried the one-bucket-several mitts method for the contact wash? Saves filling a second bucket and all that rinsing malarkey, and it’s ultimately a safer method as a dirty mitt never goes into the wash bucket.
Cheers Paul 😊 Yeah it’s a great method! I used to do it a lot with the noodle style mitts but I don’t have quite as many of the rag co ones so probs need some more to do it properly 😂
Nice work! Green Star works great in foam canon! I use consentrat only, and adjust the screw on my PF22 to adjust the foam. On my setup, the dailution is 1/30. You should alsow try to rins from the bottom and up when in the pre wash stage. It is mutch more efficient when you combind pressure and the chemical. When rinsing from the top, most of the pre wash has rinsed off on the lower and most dirty part of the car before you reaches with the pressure washer.
Good morning, Heather 👋. A long overdue wash indeed! But a mighty fine turnaround I must say.....the soft 99 product appeared to bring about a very nice depth of gloss to the car 👏👏. Have a good week ahead, Heather!
Great video again heather. That was a Passat that needed some care. Fantastic products used yums and soft99. Detail bugs products are a hidden gem, big fan of them.
Wow! Nice results👍🏽 This is my combo too for the pre-wash stage. GSF and GS are good together. For my contact wash I use Alchimy7 S7THD.. The Active foam of Kochchemie is quite a bit like GSF and GS mixed together.
I’m sure a lot of people don’t realise how much work goes into cleaning a car like this. That really was one heck of a clean. Gone are the days putting washing up liquid in a bucket to wash your car.
@@AutoCareHQ you’re very welcome, not being bossy, but it might be a good idea to wear eye protection especially when using the power washer, take care 😀😀🌞🌞👍👍
Hiya, I really enjoy your vids as they focus on actual relatable content rather than people reading the back of a bottle and then saying yes it works or no it doesn't. Anyhow, couple of things I'd like your opinion on. Firstly, water - I'm old and back in the day, we used a bucket of hot water but I get the impression this isn't important and cold will be fine?? and secondly, often I find when doing the contact wash, when I'm finishing, the bits I started on are already drying slightly and I feel I should rinse off before it does so do you rinse off in stages to ensure this doesn't happen or do you not find it an issue?
Thanks very much! Yep cold water is absolutely fine. Warm is okay too but I would steer clear of hot just as it increases the risk of chemicals drying out on the panel. You can definitely rinse panel by panel if the chemical is drying out by the time you've got round the car. I do it at this time of year and it makes life easier. You can also try misting the car with the pressure washer by standing back a bit and holding it up in the air if that makes sense, which will help keep the panels damp
Yep it will do so I just use it with different towels as I don't mind as much. If you wash it with a microfiber detergent though afterwards it will help
Great video as always. Do you prefer green star over surfex as they kind of do the same thing. I haven't tried GS as yet but another one is G101 by Autosmart.
@AutoCareHQ thanks for the reply, yeh I'm now dipping into there range so far I've tried foam, wash and wheel foam and was very impressed so ordered a load more of there other products to try out. Do you think there good value for money? Thanks again
Sorry I missed this reply! Yeah I think they make quality products, there are a few that I think are a little bit pricier than others but generally they come in close to other brands I use as well
I’ve never had issues personally. I wouldn’t spray it too close though/ directly near the disc. With larger wheels like this a lot of the disc is shielded so it doesn’t really get on it
@@AutoCareHQ Thank you! I think I'll give it a try as I have a whole bottle that's been sitting on my shelf for a year! I stopped using it as I kept accidentally getting it on plastics and other trim and it's stained them forever!

The cars you're detailing seem to be coming dirtier and dirtier, Heather. You definitely worked your magic on this VW.

Maybe, Heather, u could expand into ‘Classic Car Care??’
I’m sure u’ve thought of this already??

Well done Heather. The Passat looks amazing now thanks to your hard work.

From grimy to gleaming! Another excellent video Heather 👏🙂

Great work again, massive difference there. Koch Chemie is one of my favourite brands to use and GS is up there as one of the best pre wash APCs

Thank you! I’d go for a spray dressing, usually easier to spread it if has a thinner consistency

How do you maintain your spread and buff towel for spray sealant?
Didn't know you could use raindrop like that and the results look really good. Only thing is does it make your drying towel hydrophobic?

Best product to get rid of hazey swirl marks ? Car is black
It will just need either machine or hand polishing. Alternatively you could use a glaze (e.g. Poorboy's Black Hole) to mask the swirls temporarily
