  • Welcome to this TH-cam video where I’ll be showcasing the creation of a stunning charcoal drawing portrait of a young girl. This portrait captures the delicate innocence and timeless beauty of youth through the rich, expressive medium of charcoal.
In this video, you’ll see the entire process unfold, from the initial sketch to the final details that bring the portrait to life. The young girl’s face is rendered with soft, careful strokes, highlighting her serene expression and the subtle play of light and shadow on her features. Her eyes, full of curiosity and depth, draw you in, while the gentle shading on her cheeks and the delicate contours of her lips convey a sense of warmth and realism.
The background is kept minimal, allowing the viewer to focus entirely on the subject, emphasizing her natural grace and the intricate details of her hair, which is depicted with a combination of bold lines and soft textures. Each stroke of charcoal adds to the depth and dimension, creating a portrait that feels both lifelike and deeply emotive.
Join me on this artistic journey as I demonstrate various techniques and tips for working with charcoal, sharing insights into how to achieve realistic textures and expressions. Whether you’re an aspiring artist or simply enjoy watching art come to life, this video offers a captivating glimpse into the world of portrait drawing.
Don't forget to like, comment, and subscribe for more art tutorials and drawing inspirations. Let’s get started and watch this beautiful charcoal portrait take shape!

WoW! New subscriber,Marta incredible I really love your talent thank you so much for posting, I envision your podcasts to rapidly grow.
Good art takes time Great art takes longer
Questions the photo you are drawing from is that a photo from a drawing is that a reference or did you do it? If so how long did it take?
2)How long did the drawing you did on the demo take approximately?
    3) What value software do you use for your phone?
Finally have you painted your cats?

Thank you so much! I so appreciate your support! It’s a photo reference from the internet. The whole drawing took approximately 12 hours. The values were determined by a Value finder app for iPhone. I chose 7, but you can reduce any photo to as many as you want. I learned about that from a workshop I took in Utah by Josh Clare. I haven’t painted my cats yet, because that’s a painting for me, but there are on my list 🙂
