If they wanted a connection to Kenshiro, it could've been his own brother, either instead of Hyou or in addition to. Alternatively, it could've been the long lost brother of Jagi, which would add some lore to the least developed of the Hokuto brothers.

The fact that you could feel the absolute pressure as you went on reading the panels , Fotns will forever be a genius when it comes to emotional writing , hell even side characters who come to die made me feel , like bats family or that one kid who shot kenshiro with an arrow so that he could deliver it off to Jagi. wouldn’t expect any less from the sensei of Kentaro Miura.
