- This is such a beautiful Peak District hike with a bit of everything. I would always recommend a trip to Tagg Lane dairy, especially if its hot for an ice cream if you're in the area and its only a 5 minute drive from Magpie mine.
As this is a circular route you have other parking options in Bakewell, Ashford in the water, Monsal Dale and Hassop Station.. lots of choice, but I do think the walk from Magpie mine to Bakewell builds up the perfect appetite to really appreciate fish and chips, if that's what you want of course, but you are definitely not limited to food options on this one, there are great options at all the various points.

Been to Ashford in the water and Hassop, really nice around there, looks a great walk with some good views and plenty of facilities, nice one Char 😊❤

Got it all sorted the next day.. annoying but these things happen. Would have been more stressed if I didn’t have my friend to give me a lift 🙃

Thankyouu.. yes this one was not salvageable.. wire was through.. I had hoped it was a slow puncture… anyway lesson learnt. Spare tyre has been purchased 😜
