72 Hours in the Dolomites | Mountain Days | Hiking Adventures | Visit Italy

My first visit and the most amazing 72 hours in the Dolomites. I stayed at AMA stay in Val Badia Valley which was beautiful and everything I could have wished for. The food and staff were amazing and the spa was just what I needed after the first day of being caught out in a thunderstorm.
The following day I headed out on a local, less touristy hike up into the mountains, it was a beautiful route with the most beautiful lakes at the top, alpine meadows and log cabins.
We had a local public transport pass which covered South Tyrol area, all hotels in the area give visitors this pass to help with keeping traffic off the road and it got us to Lago Di Braies on the second day. We had planned to get transport there and walk the 5 1/2 hour route back through the mountains, but this didn't go to plan.
Before leaving for the airport I hired an E-bike from the hotel, I cycled to the start of the hike on day 2 and back through the forests and by the rivers, it was a dream, and possibly my favourite activity of the whole trip. It was so much fun.
