I am so happy to hear such positive view! It is absolutely correct that the way Chinese people deal with competition is too make themself better. They knew this 5000 years ago, and they have been educating their citizens in the last 40+ years. Now, they start to see all that works out by itself! I wish the other counties would wake up and learn the 5000+ years of Chinese history, and understand better about the culture.
The US system is so biased towards doctors, lawyers and bankers, especially lawyers. US is the only country that allows contingent fees for the law profession (lawyers can get paid a certain % of the winning and the client doesn't have to pay which leads to a lot of frivolous lawsuits) which is very destructive for the society but hugely benefits the lawyers.
abit abrupt ending.... the difference is family values, tight knit community values the core of this chinese dna is, family, respect your family, that grows outwards to education, respecting education means you respect the community and thus you respect and do everything for the nation, the chinese are proud of their nation and their community, their village friends, their neighbours... totally different from the isolated west... you see it when eating, its all communal in china, everyones laughing enjoying... in the west its tv dinners... close the curtains etc the same tight knit values the social aspect of socialism that came together to defeat the foreign invaders!

tbh, If it weren’t for the U.S. sanctions on selling chips to China, maybe the U.S. would still be far ahead in the AI field.
