I've started saying to myself, whenever I judge someone in my head over something they are doing or being, I say "I am that ". and it reminds me that wherever I see the negative that the negative is also a part of me.
And then what? How do you then become okay with being that? I started doing this and always just felt worse about myself lol im not ready for shadow work
prayer: - health wealth love - deeper closer healthier connections with those I love... - healing, on every level, in every way, for all of us - to be radically honest, with everyone, about everything - financial freedom - twin-flame reunion - a tribe of real friends - for all of us to thrive off our talents and passions... - blissful magical wonderous joy, always, in all ways...
I wrote a blog post of afterthoughts on this topic to offer further clarification if needed: thefourqueens.blogspot.co.uk/2014/08/shadow-work-afterthoughts.html :)
I've been thinking about doing shadow work to finish a dark night of the soul at this point in my life. Also, to come to terms with my inner child/childhood. Kelly-ann you are so full of knowledge and wisdom! You ooze of so much experience!! So glad about you're channel.
It can be hard to be mindful of my less positive traits in an overly critical shadow which is counter productive. It can be unpleasant looking at yourself through the mirror. It all helps you know thyself a wee bit better. I love how you call your audience a new cute wee collective noun like chickens it is very cute and affectionate it comes through how much you enjoy educating people. Blessed Bee sister )O( 😈
Great video! As soon as I learnt of Shadow work I knew it was a journey I had been planning to go on, without knowing the term :) I have also known that I'm not ready. Your thoughts are really helpful because now I have more of a knowledge of what to work through on a surface level before delving in, so I can get the most out of the work. Happily I am moving through those surface beliefs already. I think it's awesome you offer mentoring and direction through this process as your obviously well acquainted with the process and passionate about it. Thank you for sharing :)
After listening to this, I don't feel that I'm quite ready to do shadow work. But you mentioned there are loads of things to do to heal and achieve self-love. Do you have some videos where you talk about that, that you could suggest to me?
I love your videos im a big fan of shadow work its the most beautiful truth i feel u can experience so thank you for giving the gift to so many light amd love sister
Hey Kelly, would you consider Recapitulation a form of shadow work? If one has already recapitulated memories, is it necessary to actively seek to revisit them (if they don't come back on their own)?
Hi Kelly-Ann! I've been thinking about doing Shadow Work for awhile and after watching this video, I don't think I'm as ready as I thought I was. But there are aspects of myself coming up that I think are part of my Shadow. This morning I did a meditation asking for one of those aspects to come forth and it was depression. Although I don't feel ready to do major Shadow Work at this time, I do want to heal this piece of me. I've tried therapy in the past and it didn't work out and I became hell-bent on working my issues out myself and I thought I was well over the hill, but I'm not. How can I begin working with this aspect? How can I see this part of me's strengths and gifts? Thank you!
oh you have the flowers on again...love those :) I think if you have to question if you are ready for shadow work, then you are probably not ready. That's just my opinion and experience.
:) I love the flowers too. I've worn them often this summer - they became part of my head at one point! In my experience, many people who ask how they'll know if they're ready either don't know enough about the process OR they saw the warnings on my shop and videos and kinda got scared off, haha! Some people just want to be sure because they respect the nature of the work and they know that it can be challenging. If someone is asking the question from a place of not knowing much about shadow work, the likelihood is that they just need more information about what it entails. :)
i can't recall if i already asked you this already..but do you suggest doing inner child work and or shadow work when there are repressed memories? i'm wondering if someone could become well without ever retrieving that memory..altho overall facing things are usually a good thing. i also have a feeling that shadow work (helping others) is going to be my thing a little later in my journey. gods love a light worker..but shadow workers are the BALM =) if you have anything else to say on the subject.. i could listen for hours. i am marching my bum right over to your etsy shop as soon as i can..hahaha!

Kelly-Ann: A sincere thank you for this video.
You are a lovely, honest person.
