Hi, and thanks for your comments! Officially the only figure I could find is the 45% NTSC. That's not great, and definitely not good enough for professional editing. You can either find those values directly on the manufacturer's page, or you could somehow find the panel model and google that. That's what I did in one of my videos (the Asus TUF one) but this one wouldn't tell me the panel model in Windows, and the only way for me to find out was to disassemble the whole computer and find out the model on the panel itself. In my HP Pavilion gaming laptop (though, its 3550H cpu) 2gb of system ram is dedicated VRAM and no option to change it even in BIOS. Any thoughts on saving up that ram for my productivity related tasks?

i actually got this laptop myself a little bit ago its great and can run all my games at min 90fps max settings my only problem i have is that it heats up a quite a bit and can be quite loud when running games but otherwise perfect and it only cost me 540pounds due to collegue discount ^-^
How it's about temps?
im not sure exactly havent really looked but it handles pretty decently but expect the fans to be loud
What are your opinions on the hinge of the laptop?
Very good video, ask please, what about the temperature of processor under load?
It was about 90 degrees after 20 minutes of working in your video, wasn't it?
Thanks a lot! The CPU doesn’t go above 90 degrees!
@@WhatNowTech Thanks u!
Great video! So well explained..Keep it up!
Anyway sorry about this "off-topic" question but can u tell me where i can find your stand for the laptop? XD i saw it behind you and seems quite useful

@@WhatNowTech Thaaank you so much! I appreciate :)
at 9:23 time , i can see 7.4gb of RAM is available at OS level. I presume this model has 8gb in total. So only 512mb has been taken as dedicated VRAM for iGpu. In my HP Pavilion gaming laptop (though, its 3550H cpu) 2gb of system ram is dedicated VRAM and no option to change it even in BIOS. Any thoughts on saving up that ram for my productivity related tasks?
Thank you for the review
1:23 I noticed that both fans are together and heat pipes run through the GPU and CPU
I've seen many reviews shitting on this design
How did u feel? Did it have any thermal issues whatsoever
Still waiting for that review with the new version 👀👀
I'm wondering, I considering to buy this laptop, it's for 725 euro's but it does have the GTX1650 with AMD Ryzen 5. I intend to mainly use it for school work, I do use Photoshop and Adobe illustrator every now and then, but not intensively. Beside that I want to use it to play games at my girlfriends. Mainly League of Legends or lighter games. This laptop seems to be pretty good in that regard, is there anything I could get for either a better price or better performance for similar price? A point that's very important to me, battery life. I think 6 hours is good, but I for sure don't want anything less than that. Anyone who might have a suggestion would be very much appreciated! :)
Thanks for suggestion
this computer is $449 right now with GTX 1060 included, that's steal!!
Where?
@@dripllc5088 Walmart i just bought one
I mean Best Buy
@@dripllc5088 there is one in Walmart but with 9300H that’s the one I got
@@dripllc5088 Its $450 with ryzen 5 4600H and gtx 1650 at bestbuy today.
Este modelo tiene soporte para usb hub? Tengo un pavilion gaming del 2018 y no lo soporta. Llamé a HP y me dijeron que los pavilion gaming no tienen soporte para usb hub.
And to anyone wanting to buy its id a great laptop and defintelye decent for fortnite i run 120-140 fps im creative and 75-100 in game
I just ordered this laptop but with a 1650 for $450 from best buy.
I’m about to do the same
You think it can run gta role play ?
I’m planning to do the same thing 😂, I mean an AMD 4600H processor for 450 $ it is a steal, but I’m worried about the screen.
@@ahmedsaadon5976 honestly? It’s looks fine to me. And for $100 bucks more you can get a 27 in ips monitor.
@@ahmedsaadon5976 ahaha I’ll risk I need five m🤣
The one I ordered off Amazon has a Ryzen 5 4600H and a Nvidia 1650
Great! Hope you like it!
wonderful explanation and very well detail video about HP Pavilion 15 and i love your laptop review it's so wonderful - love it - thumbs up ;) also subscribed :)
So, Cyberport in germany offers this laptop with the same CPU but the GTX 1650 for just 699€. (Without OS)
Should I get it? :D
Nice review btw! :)
Thanks!!!
I’d definitely go for that - 4600H and the GTX1650 is a great pair
Acer Nitro 5 Ryzen 7 4800h vs HP Pavilion Ryzen 7 4800h. Which one has better quality?
Is it possible to put our own nvme in it?
Yup!
Great. Should have shown how to open it though because I’m really struggling to open it up 😔
@@exyl_sounds I didn't show it because there is already a great disassembly video on TH-cam: th-cam.com/video/KR-hXtur_ww/w-d-xo.html
5:14 You sound like you care about the audio but then you recommend gaming headphones 😔
I only said gaming headphones because it's a gaming laptop. I should have been clearer
well Corsair HS50 isn't that bad for a gaming headset is it?
Should I got for this laptop or lenovo IdeaPad gaming 3. Please answer according to the needs of a student and some casual gaming...
wrong amazon link
Hi there I'm between buying this or the matebook 14 huawei, I have a huawei smartphone and the Huawei is lighter as well, but I noticed that this has the same processor and is 100 pound less, with headphones and mouse, I only want them for uni work, Microsoft Office, Netflix, and browsing. Do you believe that this would be a better choice than the Huawei?
Mine is super super slow for some reason. Got it today and downloaded steam, discord and then games on steam. My entire computer is now incredibly slow and can’t even run Minecraft without massive amounts of screen tearing and lag...not sure what’s wrong. Tried playing OSU! too and that didn’t work and I needed yo deleting it. Even geometry dash is screen tearing constantly...not sure what’s up but this computer sucks. I feel wasted and I’m very angry that I spend my Christmas on this.
Have you tried installing windows 10 uefi from USB 3.0? Hp laptops are known to not recognize USB 3.0 boot flash drive from bios startup. So that is the point of having USB 2.0 - hp backup plan :)
That's a great point, I haven't thought of that!
Nice review! Do you know if the USB-C port supports Displayport?
Thanks! It does!
i use this laptop but instead of the model 15-ec1008ca i use model 15-ec1xxx
Your voice kinda reminds me of the one dude from the infographics show channel
Would you guys recommend this laptop paird with a 1650? Would you recommend this over the ASUS TUF with same specs?
4600H - GTX1650 is a much better pair than 4600H - GTX1050, so I recommend you go for that config.
I am actually working on a video about the ASUS TUF, but spoiler alert, get the HP :)
@@WhatNowTech Thank you! Will there be a comparison? When can I expect the video?
IMO i like the acer nitro 5, better cooling worse keyboard though. But it is quite cheap.
@@anhiirr also bad build quality, also acer nitro 5 has a lot of issues
Should be live tomorrow!
Thing is its 800 euros in my country with the exact same specs...
it is available with 1650ti 4gb and ryzen-5 4600h 144hz in india
I will got HP Pavilion 15 with ryzen 5 4600H,gtx1650 4Gb, 8GB ram(2x4) , 512GB PCIe NVMe M.2 SSD is it good for gaming?
And what do u think can play games on high settings with at least 40-60 fps
Nice video anyway👍
Great video. I have owned this laptop now for the past 2 months. Its a great laptop imo! Is there any way to unlock the bios? Ive searched forums for unlocked bios to no avail. This laptop would greatly benefit with a bios mod/unlocked bios.
Ky Mech I'd like it too because if I ever add RAM to it i'd wanna make sure I can toogle xmp again
Hi wanted to ask if it you need a wifi adapter to connect the laptop to the wifi?
Should I buy a cooling fan for this laptop? I just bought this yesterday! I’m not a serious gamer but I do play Sims 4 a lot.
I wouldn't necessarily recommend a cooling fan; but you might want a laptop stand!
hey, hopefully you respond. i’m thinking of buying this laptop and i play pretty much just the sims 4 as well. did you get the laptop and if so how does sims run? i use custom content
@@alexiacyr7203 It runs well with sims 4 and the packs. Watch your mods/CC though because 256GB SSD is small. I think if you are handy enough and know a lot about computers you can upgrade the SSD from what I have heard.
@@alexiacyr7203 I’m sorry I didn’t see your post sooner. The laptop is out of stock right now at Best Buy..😩😭
@@AS-im3xr I just got it yesterday, and it is AMAZING for the freaking sims 4.
I'm really curious about battery life, obviously gaming it won't last long, but using the integrated graphics and putting everything in battery save mode , using it to navigate and write documents ¿How long would it last?
Around 6-7 hours!
Hey, here's a question, would it be worth it getting the Ryzen 5 4600h with the 1650?
I just bought it for $674 through Walmart's website. I thought that was a great price for the specs. I am swapping the RAM out for 16GB @ 3200mhz for $75 and adding a 500GB Sata SSD for like $45 so for $794 ($50 over amazons listing) I feel like I am getting a good deal. I would keep your eye out for a deal like that. Good luck have fun!
Currently using that version. It's really an all-rounder at this price point!
@@WhatNowTech Yeah, just a few months ago when it was on sale, it was for $450 and was great considering the price. But, the screen isn’t the best...
Can you add hdd in it ?
i have this same laptop but it has 16gb of ram and in my country it was 770 usd
How is display quality....colours ?
they made a version of this laptop 15-ec1073dx with a gtx 1050? (thats what I did a search for, that model) the 15-ec1073dx has 8gb and all but has a gtx 1650
Great video! What would you say about this same laptop but with an Nvidia GTX 1650?
For $450 it is a fantastic deal. The biggest problem of the laptop I tested was the GPU, and they fixed it.
I just order this same laptop but with the GTX 1650 this will be my first gaming laptop I think I made the right choice ! Paid $600 USD
