The object shown in the thubnail is not present in the video. I was looking forward to see the part in thumbnil beeing scaned. That plastic container has a simple shape.
I would really like to see how it works with the included software, I'm pretty sure you're demonstrating a $7k scanner with a $20k software addon. Also, the Peel 2 is supposed to be good with shiny & reflective surfaces, but your scan didn't seem to pick up the pump handle part of the bottle?
Hi n1tr0kt, There are many software options available that work with the Peel scanner and some of them are very affordable. It really depends on your application. As far as the handle goes we weren't really focusing on 3D scanning the handle as we wanted the main bottle shape. With a little more scanning work and not covering the handle with my hand we could have 3D scanned it with no problem. It just wasn't the focus of this demo. Hope that helps.
I have yet to see a demo where they take off a part, put it into Solidworks, or Fusion. machine the scan of that part and then put said part that was machined where the old part was taken off !!
Yes the Peel starts at 7K. There is a CAD module option as well. We have some bundles that include hardware, software, training and extras. Contact us if interested.

Hi Jonathan, Check out this video we recently made. th-cam.com/video/CnxFJ246YoQ/w-d-xo.html
Saw a comment elsewhere stating this product costs $7K?

The more I watch these videos the frustrated I get because I can't afford one. So I will block all EMS videos to keep my sanity.
We are glad you enjoy the videos. Perhaps you can find an employer who will purchase the scanner for you?
