Ethiopia can form the BEST NATION through their Mission Tree! Eu4 1.35 (Mission Tree Only)

- Hello my fellow Chairs! Today is the long awaited Mission Tree Only for the nation of Ethiopia! This nation is very powerful, yet it is also one of the most challenging nations as they have to tackle the Ottomans regardless if the player wants to expand into Egypt or not.
In this video, I attempt to complete Ethiopias Mission tree without expanding outside of it. Which includes having to fight the Ottomans for all of the Levant. Luckily Ethiopia has a few tricks up their sleeve such as, forming OP Axum, allying Portugal, and changing their unit type to Western to combat the Anatolian units.

Yeah I wanted to get more consistent going forward and cover a nation that has been requested for awhile before the next dlc
Been thinking about an Ethiopia play through so this was super helpful. Also glad to see guides that don’t just stop like 50 years in and actually tells you next steps. 😊
My best advice i can give is to try and rush down the Horn of Africa as fast as possible. Then once the Mamluks are at war with the Ottomans or look weak, you have to take that Chance to take Egypt, otherwise the Ottomans will be wayyyyy too strong.
Also, Expanding into Kilwa and South Africa would be a great idea just to get even more gold, and if you take religious ideas the more provinces that are coptic the you get even more manpower in true faith provinces. I just didn't do that because of the limitations of the series.
One of my favorite nations. So much potential. Great video! Note: you can move the capital for cheap. Could move it around, concentrate newly conquered provinces, repeat!
They are a really great nation! Honestly, if it wasn't for the Ottomans, I think Ethiopia would be the top pick for the region because of their fantastic ideas and mission tree!

I’ve tried Ethiopia a couple of times and failed(bankrupt, no manpower and Mamluks attack) but this gave me motivation to keep trying. Thanks!
Keep trying you got it! Ethiopia can be pretty daunting, but the best thing to do is conquer the horn and expand south when you're not fighting the Mamluks. Also, make use of those gold mines dev production to 11 and you'll be rolling in money all game

Aksum is great, I did my 3rd way achievment with them (started with Pate obv.)
Aksum is honestly like a top 5 formable nation especially with their last mission giving them sooo much more manpower
Just played this on very hard. With quantity and religious you are invincible… no rebels with modifiers you get from missions/ideas, CB on everyone….but around 1550-1600 it gets boring. However it must be fun in casual NP game.
I'd imagine if you're able to Westernize your troops super quickly it would be a really great combination that can keep the Ottomans in check. I was pretty impressed how good my troops were against the Ottomans despite not being Western for a bit. But, once they were Western it became a slaughter against them.

Interested to see how Ethiopia will be with King of Kings and Yemen/Rassid/Arabian mission trees, the region has got a lot more flavour now, so the various Muslim nations have gotten good amount of claims etc in missions to blob themselves..
i've just finished my Jewish Ethiopia run and got Shemot is Not achievement, it was good and fun expierience
I have yet to try out the Jewish mechanics! Any advice for doing that or forming Israel?
@@thechairmangames Tried jewish faith by doing Hakuna Mutapa achievement first, i like it,, but i was too weak to fisht Turks.
Played normal Ethiopia game instead, converted all fetishist provinces to sunni, but keept two jewish and converted using them later when i got stronger,
Only real advice is to rush to mil tech 4, 6 and 7 and fisht mamaluks asap, don't wait for ottomans to attack them. Jewis is cool, different, new. Never formed Israel, but misht try some other time
