Very smooth shooting pistol. Classic Beretta styling and functionality.

Also will be looking for your older revolver videos.Had a chance to get a nice old enfield double action only.cleaned up very nicely & a pre model 10 S&W 1905. Other than nearly no finish it’s perfect.tight lock up and appears to have not been opened up or messed with.& another beautiful $5 brown/oxblood colored unused holster..getting lucky on holster s lately . Guessing pre 10 has not even had a whole box of ammo shot through it .great price on both. That’s it for revolvers.for now. ...Maybe .any info on slightly loose right safety on 81 wld be great. Take care

Thanks for the video!... nice job!. Is there a difference between an 81 in .32 and an 81 cheetah in .32 or, are they the same thing? When I bought mine, it was sold as an 81 cheetah, chambered in .32. I have not found anything in my research that points this model to be a cheetah..., mine is Italian made in 1981also. It seems the Cheetah tag was a marketing point for the pistols made in the USA, whereas the Italian made version of the same gun were not tagged Cheetah in the model designation ....
Does this sound reasonable to you?

I’m not sure, I think the whole 80 series are just called cheetah, no matter 81, 84, or whatever.

Since last comment, did get the 81s. They are very nice condition.did get extra mags .& found some pretty good holsters. Got an older production elpasso saddlery &Bianchi That fit nicely & in like new condition .$5 each .bargain bin .want a flap holster like you have but couldn’t turn the others down. The air weight revolvers are good for what they are intended for but nothing exciting about them. I have a 638 shrouded hammer model with the CT laser grip.occasionally put it in a jacket pocket ect. About the 81. Mine rattles a little on the right safety switch.there is a pin that appears to have a tiny dent in the center from being tapped with a punch.wondering if it needs another tap or 2. Is yours any different on the right side??any thoughts on that?

Thx .finaly got one. Being delivered sometime today.will be cleaning it up before shooting.on the spring...is there a front & back ( wrong way to put the guide rod back?)Also, springs,do you think replacing All the springs wld be a good idea?if so where do you buy replacements. I plan on carrying it if it feels right.thx again.

I will have to take look to see if spring side matters in this firearm. I know that some people automatically replace all springs when they get a firearm; however, most military and police surplus firearms have a low round count and so probably not necessary. If you notice your firearm having weak primer strikes or weak ejections, then you might want to look into changing out some springs

Ammo suggestions?from what I gather,FMJ is a good choice.DK anything about 32.apparently hollow points are a tad shorter & experience rim-lock If mag isn’t loaded just so.?.32 acp HP don’t expand reliability anyway but I just DK.thoughts?

Most military and police surplus firearms were only designed for FMJ, especially your older firearms. You won’t go wrong with FMJ but if you’re concerned about hollow points, just have a local gunsmith smooth the feed ramp some.

I use to have a s&w j frame airweight; it was alright but I never really got into the revolver scene too much. I sold my j frame and now I only have two revolvers in my collection. The 1851 navy which I have a video on and a nagant revolver which I will do a video on later.

Break down the firearm and magazines as much as you can to your knowledge and ability and clean EVERYTHING you can. There will be grease/cosmoline everywhere and in everywhere. For the magazine, take off the baseplate, pull out the spring, remembering which end and direction the spring goes in. Most springs in magazine are not top/bottom neutral nor front/back neutral. This is important to remember. Then clean, clean, and clean some more and then wiping down all parts and reassembling. I use Hoppe’s no. 9 lubricating gun oil field wipes. These wipes are good for cleaning and lubing at the same time.
