- Welcome back to another episode of Mac Shoots Film. This episode concludes my 9-day road trip through the American Southwest. In this episode we travel to Nelson's Ghost Town southwest of Las Vegas, Nevada. This place was an absolute treasure trove of photographic subjects. I take my hobbled Leica M6, Leica Summicron 35mm ASPH lens, and a roll of Kodak ProImage 100 out for a spin and they did not disappoint.
Next week we head to Nelson’s Ghost Town for what turns out to be my favorite location I’ve ever photographed as a film photographer.

Thought you fell off the planet glad to see your well enjoy your work ..
It felt like I did! Good to be back.
I had been waiting on this video bud! It was worth the wait!! I agree that Nelson is so “target rich”. It’s such a photogenic place to visit. Great job on the video and I dig your wonderful photos!!
I do love that place! Thanks for the kind words and thanks for watching!
Great video!
Thanks!
Great shots, great locale, and I'm blown away by the colors on ProImage 100. I think I like it more than Portra 160!
Same here! Tried Portra 160 and it just had no character. pro Image 100 has all that retro drama and plenty of sharpness. Thanks for watching!
Loved this vid Mac! I’d love to check this place out and blow through some rolls!
You should! It def. is a fun, low stress, place to shoot tons of film! Thanks for watching!
Such a cool looking place! Awesome video!
Thanks, Albert!
I have been meaning to go there myself Mac! Gorgeous scenery for sure! Shooting Pro Image 100 at ISO50 is fun but at ISO25 is just as cool looking! The poor mans Portra 160! Greats shots my friend! I was wondering when you were going to post this video! Good to see your face and seeing you again posting! Haha!
Hi Mac, is that rf aligned? The images seem softer than those from your other videos... or maybe just my 👀
My M6 is in desperate need of a CLA! Nice eye on the sharpness!
Beautiful filming and your photos look great, you've captured the atmosphere. Thanks for the video.
Thanks, Tim!
Solid images, great work! ✊
Thank you 🙌
Great inspiring video as always. Missed your content. I was concerned that you could have quit TH-cam.

For my taste lot of the shots are too overexposed. I stop less would be perfect.
I hear ya. I’m on the fence with exposure constantly these days.
@@MacShootsFilm they look good. Thanks🙏
