The Fact that he got supahotfire on the video when he said hot fire. Priceless bruh too much respect has been deserved of this man. We need to give him his flowers.

After all that poison..... It's surprising it is only 40 years. He would be a good person to test the potency of each tarantula 😂 They don't have a good list on that 👀
So now that coyote graduated from getting stung by the insect kingdom, he has started the new road to the plant stinging kingdom. I wonder what would be next?

you should do an experiment to see the side effects of the leaf after its been cut off and how it may reduce in effectiveness after a week or month. Also could test if your stinging arm has a small immunity from all these sting tests by.
But is there any remedy for this? Like some tape to remove the trichomes or the sap from another plant in the stinging nettles episode? Or it is the case where you have to ride it out?
No sting or bite is quite as horrifying as watching Coyote's or Mark's skin get strafed by dozens and dozens of tiny, brittle, toxin-loaded urticating hairs
I still remember the stings you did from these other leaves. This one did get you big time. I noticed ten minutes later, the swelling looked worse. I'm glad you were able to recover from this the very next day. That was also good that you were strong enough to avoid scratching it. Most people don't even have that kind of strength. I'd accidentally scratch if it touched me.
I had no idea a plant could do that much harm. But to get to the point I understand why your channel is called brave wilderness. I could never. Love yoir channel
dude, you should try the hogweed, especially the juice of the plant. it's a photo-reactive chemical in the plant and it becomes reactive with sunlight and it can cause severe burns when you are juiced and in the sun for a couple of hours. I used it as a good aphid killer because even the sunlight going through leaves with the aphids on the underside will kill them and not hurt the mother plant. I did a nono one day and harvested the hogweed juice without gloves in slightly sunny conditions I got severe sunburn and my skin hurt for 6 days the after effect was a sunburn tattoo even individual drops turned into browned skin the part that was emerged got severe blistering at 15 years old at the time I was amazed at the power this plant has. I can't believe I'm going to harvest the seeds in this year late summer to have as a food seasoning yup! they are reported to be as cilantro/coriander seeds in taste apparently well, we will see...
The lack of blisters and puss and overall redness etc is likely due to NOT scratching when the urge presented, guessing most people drive that toxin deeper and cause worse effects.
I have a question, I have 3 holes in my bedframe and they look like they have some room inside but I haven't seen or heard any insects come in or out, any ideas of what it can be? I'm in south Norway and not in a oslo
@BraveWilderness I have a question about a particular plant, how can you know it's safe to drink the water from a Carnivorous Plant? and when it's not safe to drink from it??
I read somewhere a long time ago that sun exposure itself can activate a bigger process and a problem from some of these kind of stinging plants over areas you got stinged at or if it was more of the juice within the plant. Is this a thing or not?
Follower the show for a while, Coyote - I’m wondering if you can shed light on a caterpillar that dropped on my neck when I was 10 yo visiting Cairo with my family- the pain was very powerful, although I admit that a 10 year old may not be especially though, I’ve been bitten by spiders and stung by wasps and they hurt but that caterpillar was up there. Would be very interested in learning about caterpillar encounters. I was also bitten on the chest by a large cockroach which really really hurt and left welts for weeks.
Having gotten into stinging nettles before, I can’t imagine brushing up against something so much worse. Stinging nettles were horrible, but I’ve been told they’re not nearly as bad as many other stinging plants. Both legs were covered in nettle stings and I didn’t think I’d be able to drive myself the hour’s journey home, I was in so much pain. At least I don’t react at all to poison ivy. I was the only kid at summer camp one year who came out of a hike unscathed when we all trudged through a huge patch of it. Been exposed several times since then and have never gotten a rash or itching or anything.
There’s other stinging plants in Costa Rica that I don’t believe are documented. Theres one with similar leaves to the one you showed but maybe 10 giant stinging trichomes on every leaf with a a large wart (maybe a venom sack?) at the base. Been there done that, it was aweful
So interesting to see it looks identical to allergic reactions. I suppose you have the context where it makes sense for your immune response to act that way. I wonder how similar the sensation is to allergic hives. After the initial chemicals from the plant are gone, i would imagine it would feel similar.
