    Frankincense and myrrh also presaged Christ's ultimate reason for being born - the sacrifice of his life. The spices were used in burial rites at the time and it can be pointed out that the "swaddling clothes" would presage the funeral wrappings as well.

    Gold that was given was the Balm of Gilead, which is very valuable for medicinal purposes and very intensive to make but very popular. It was not physical gold :)

    Three* wise men is not biblical. The bible does not mention how many they were.
    ”Now when Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judaea in the days of Herod the king, behold, there came wise men from the east to Jerusalem,”
    ‭‭Matthew‬ ‭2:1‬ ‭

    Yeshua was not born in 1 AD. There was an error in the Gregorian Calendar. He also wasn't born on December 25th. There's good reason to believe he was born on Nisan 1.

    Looks like really impure MDMA! I know that is irreverent but, by the book, there's 3 gifts and not a specific number of Magi. Magi were often Zoroastrian practitioners by history. An autoimpregnating individual would be a big deal. The story has some funny points with the difference in culture and time.

    • @Kriegtime101
      @Kriegtime101 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      There are many similarities with Egyptian, Babylonian, Sumerian, and Zoroastrian religious figures. The Jews most likely were some of the best plagerizers of the 1st century.

    • @loraxdavewalters2696
      @loraxdavewalters2696 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@Kriegtime101 My own religion even takes from Judaism! As a Rasta, we look at the prophecies. They pretty much surround King David's family. His descendants are everywhere, but not many have a family tree documented. Imperial Majesty Hallie Selassie I does. Main stream Christians are looking for these signs: 1 world government 2 one world bank 3 Antichrist 4 return of Christ (to keep it simple I will avoid the timing of the tribulation discussion). Rastas see the UN, which describes itself as "The World Governing Body", the World Bank and IMF which is "cashless" as prophecies demand, it uses various member nation's currencies, Mussolini was the Antichrist and HIM Hallie Selassie I is the return of Christ. There was even a battle in the Valley of Meggido as the British Mandate was ending and Israel was reforming. The British have cultural giants named "Gog and Magog" which are also characters of prophecy. It all wraps up nicely. We have to watch the rebuilding of the Earth. I pray we survive it and prosper.
