I just discovered your channel. I like your humour. It's also refreshing to have a senior dev perspective, compared to all these TH-camrs in their twenties that have yet to grow a beard (or become bald)

Ah thank you very much sir, very nice to hear that :)
And I will definitively use the "you still have hair" argument next time I talk to some youngsters, as a last resort argument when they are correct :)
May I ask what technologies do you work with?

@@ApplicableProgramming Javasrcipt / Typescript React/Next.js, plus some legacy apps written in PHP (also a senior dev)

@@voidmind nice, welcome around :) do you have any topic or question you would like answered in a video?

@@ApplicableProgramming I had a big phase of watching tutorial videos on TH-cam, but nowadays, I either use a search engine (soon to be replaced by ChatGPT!) or if it's something that requires a lot of time to learn properly, I do a Udemy course on it. I landed on your channel because I was contemplating buying an ultrawide monitor, and then watched this video because we have just been given unlimited access to ChatGPT 4 at work, so looking at how others are writing prompts is interesting to me.

@@voidmind yeah, that search thing is definitively going to work some other way to be honest. I have been very frustrated with google in last couple of years to be honest, I would get few pages of artificially written articles on majority things I would search for. God forbid I search for something to buy like a wallet or camera or maybe compare something, I would go to page 5 just to get to some not auto generated "crawler" or some comparison site that tells you nothing. Ridiculously bad for a company that is primarily a search engine. So I was very very pleased when gpt got plugins now. Just the limit is a bit crippling, but that will go away soon I guess. Do you do programming as well?

    Good video.
As people start using AI instead of StackExchange and maybe stop writing blog posts since so many fewer people will be googling for same, it will be interesting to find out how that affects AI's ability to find information to be trained on, and if that will result in lower capabilities for newer information.

Thanks, that is a good point actually. I doubt that new models will be trained on new data, I think that focus now is on training it on new skills, and connecting it to the internet for the data. But yeah, I believe it is definitively going to change the internet as we know it today for sure

do you use some of the Ai tools like copilot or gpt when coding?
