Imagine being someone who beat the game on hardest and going up against a friend who has done the same. I had that situation and one of our battles lasted for 20 minutes straight. It was madness.

I loved that they did this, nice little nod to this game

I didnt even know that that was a theme in this game before I saw a video and it briefly mentioned that it was a remix of the 2 player theme from Dr. Robotnik's mean bean machine. To which I prefer this one, it just slaps
This was really ahead of it's time
People think it fits the final boss way better, but nowadays the hardest boss is a competitive puyo puyo player, much harder than Robotnik, so it fits really well

Hey Hey, the action in this game is pretty crazy when your having a grudge match against a friend, when your constantly dropping black blocks on each other you feel the action to go with this theme.
Why is it that a theme which is just used for 2-player friendly matches in a game where you STACK BEANS is more epic than something you'd hear in a high stakes Pokémon battle or some recent game with a high-budget soundtrack and a grand final battle theme?

Friendly matches? This music is hella fitting for me, every 2 player match is the most intense and competitive thing I’ve ever done in my life, absolute insanity both players giving it their all. I have never had a friendly match lol me and my friend both get too competitive in video games.
The song was originally used when fighting the final boss (Satan) in Puyo-Puyo, it's just been remixed here
They reused this for the Mean Bean Machine Boss in Mania which is nice.
If only this game had Puyo Puyo 2's offset mechanic... Games are more intense when your opponent can actually fight back, as opposed to winning because you triggered your 5-chain first.

I got everyone in 45 seconds except grounder because that fucker blocked my combos.

+KJ Setser Yes, after becoming addicted I was determined to do everything possible in this game. Best friends and all modes. Once you get the reflexes going it's all about getting combos. I managed to get a x11 and had to get one last triple because it's unreal how fast they are when they're at the top lol.
This helps me fall asleep.

I played this mode on this on Sonic Mega Collection, and the first thing that came to mind was “Why do I hear boss music?”

Give me a list of good video game tunes.(Many video games have some good tunes and those good tunes usually go with a good game).Thats exactly what im saying.Im also saying the better the tune,the the better the video game appear 2b.Also the better the video games instrumentals,the more “meaning” the video game has.
