I don’t think I can make it out there but I am enjoying the trip with you. I think I am gaining weight looking at the Delicious Foods. Glad you are enjoying
You are welcome to join me here anytime! And who knows...maybe one day you can enjoy this in person! 😉❤️ Get ready to gain some more weight because I have more to come...🌺🤙🏾
I love the food in Hawaii too and the cocktails! The scenery is just so gorgeous and makes me feel like I'm already there with you because you are awesome at filming!!! Keep them coming please Mahalo
Michelle! 👋🏾I love the food here too. There are SO many places to see and visit that I feel like I don't have enough time. I'm learning so much all the time and I plan to share these places as I visit. Stay tuned for more! 🙏🏾😊
Yo! I probably shouldn’t have watched this on an empty stomach! Sheesh! Man, you got me ready to book a flight! Bro, you had me cracking up all through your commentary…it was unapologetic Dwayne! Also, even though it was a taste (you see what I did there?) it was good to hear you sing! Dude, I love it!!!!
Come on then...book that flight then, son! ✈😂😂I really just wanna be me, bro. Putting myself on display is taking some getting used to, especially in a place that's new to me and that has its own vibe...but since I'm here...I'm going just be myself. Yoooo!! You caught it!!! When I made this video, I was making up the song (as we do lol!) and I thought of you and was like if Ra ever sees this...he knows this is going to be a nod to him. I had you in my mind when I sang it and layered the harmonies. WELL.DONE! Ahhhhh...I see what you did!!! 😂Thank you for watching, bro! 🙏🏾❤
We’re planning another trip to Hawaii for next year. Please keep these videos coming. The places you mentioned I had no idea existed and we stayed in Waikiki!
Aloha Joshua! 😎🤙🏾 Thanks for checking out the videos! You have to try these places when you come back. They are delicious! And don't worry, I got you! I'm prepping more food episodes to share soon. I'm finding some really great places I cant wait to tell everyone about! Stay tuned...Mahalo🙏🏾🌺
Ayyyyyyye!!!!! 🙏🏾Thanks for watching!! Listen...I understand. I legit still go to these places! Some of this food reminds me of home. I think it's why I love it so much too.
Aloha Candicay! Thank you for watching. I hope you can visit soon. I'm trying all kinds of cuisine so hoping to share more soon. So many flavors and options! 😎🌺
😂😂😂You caught it! Right before I filmed this, my buddy Raffeal was like, "You should sing on an episode." I told him absolutely not, but then I thought it would be fun to throw a little something in to see if he would catch it. He did and you did too! lol Mahalo for watching! 🤙🏾🌺
@@dwaynearoundtown Liliha Bakery (when I was in school in the 60s and 70s), offered their refrigerated pancake batter as a fundraising item... it was *VERY* popular for many decades ! Here in Hawaii, usual fundraising items back then were (and a few some still now): Zippy's Chili, Portuguese Sweet Bread (Which has been bastardized and called 'Hawaiian' Sweet Bread (to attract people to buy the product (We local people in Hawaii KNOW to call it Portuguese Sweet Bread--- not Hawaiian/Hawaiian Style Sweet Bread), Liliha Bakery's refrigerated pancake batter, Huli-Huli Chicken ('turn, turn') and Portuguese Sausages. .
@@hawaiiguy1 🤯🤯Oh my goodness! The batter was a fundraiser?! I know that was super popular! Funny you mention Zippy's Chili! I just learned about Chili and Rice from another TH-cam creator the other day. I've been to Zippy's but now I gotta try. So much food to discover here and sooo ono too! 😉
@@dwaynearoundtown yes, the chili and rice must be a Hawaii thing... but those converts who try it love it and let their friends know about it. Yes, the Liliha Bakery pancake batter was a popular fund raising event for DECADES, but it has stopped as I do not know of Liliha Bakery participating in any fund raising events for perhaps a decade+ already?
@@dwaynearoundtown one other thing about Hawaii's favorite pie flavor and cake flavor === custard pie (must be a Hawaii thing) as I hear it over and over again that people outside of Hawaii have never had Custard Pies. Chantilly Cake (another Hawaii thing) - this type of cake made famous by Liliha Bakery and Dee-Lite Bakery (Dee-Lite Bakery is no longer in business --- sad to say).
I'm with you dude - that little steak and chicken joint on the beach was phenomenal! Ate there last week - could have devoured 2 boxes it was so good. Super long line-ups at dinner time but when we ordered mid-afternoon only 20mins. Combined with the view of Diamond Head what more could a guy ask for!
So I did grab a pastry from the bakery place, but next time I will grab some food there. I never knew there were more locations in Honolulu. Also, next to the Steak Shack is a pineapple ice desert place that is really good. I thought the Mai Tai at The Mai Tai was overrated (because Vic's was like $22??), but ill take your advice and get the drink you ordered.
Oh nice! I'm glad you were able to get something from Liliha Bakery. It's one of my favorite places to eat for sure and they have like 5 locations on O'ahu. Oooooo, I didn't know about the pineapple ice dessert place, I'll have to try that! There is a Banana "ice cream" place near Steak Shack that I've been to. I think I prefer dairy to banana ice cream. lol I'm not a big mai tai fan, but I hear you. I can believe it's a bit overrated. Next time, you should try the mai tai at Moana Surfrider Beach Bar or Kahala Hotel has a beach bar, they both have really good mai tais.
The original Mai Tai was created at Trader Vics in California by Victor Jules Bergeron. He later went to Hawaii in the 50's and created the Royal Hawaiian Mai Tai that incorporated pineapple juice.
I understand! I filmed this almost a year ago now and I still go to Liliha Bakery once every few weeks. It's STILL one of my favorite places to eat on the island.
You are right! Thank you for the heads up! I went to the original location in this episode: 515 N. Kuakini St. Honolulu, HI, but there are several more on Oahu. I have updated the description to include the restaurant details. I want everyone to know about these places because they are amazing! 😎🙏🏾Mahalo!
I don't think those are "best restaurants in Honolulu". Liliha Bakery been around for long time but so has been Zippy's . Best Sushi would be Ginza sushi at Ward Center. Best fusion -Roy's in Waikiki, Best nice expensive place with amazing scenery and food is Orchids at Halekulani. I am not saying anything is wrong with places you listed, but as a local, let me assure you its not the "best"

But lowkey… I still think these 3 places are some of the best. Those Liliha pancakes??? Come on!! 10/10. Steak Shack..so juicy and flavorful. Mai Tai Bar? One of the best Lava flows in town. It’s a lot of great food here and I can’t wait to try more! Have you been to Southern Love? Good food and good vibes over there. Ima have to try Ginza…see what you talking about. 😎🤙🏾

Well done
