just my take: I think gender affirming care should be legal and allowed. BUT, I think we should follow in Norway's suit. She would’ve been on CNN crying “the doctors are bigots, they refused to operate on me blah, blah” and then when she got older and realized it’s not what she wanted anyway, she would’ve faded into oblivion and we wouldn’t be talking about her today.
@@browneyes89 It's a fair point that the doctors could have been in fear. I guess we can't really know how anyone truly felt or acted at the time or what was actually said between them. She claims that the doctors diagnosed her this way and I do tend toward believing what she says. But I guess the fact is that we don't really know what the truth is.
The important thing I think we can agree on is that it is a horrifying society we are letting overtake us where something like this can be done to a child, regardless of who gives the go ahead.

a beautiful girl who had her looks damaged by all the crap they were doing to her with their "experiment." The adults in her life didn't protect her. This type of care should be banned until age 18.
just my take:
I think gender affirming care should be legal and allowed. BUT, I think we should follow in Norway's suit. I read that in order to transition, the person must be an adult, and meet with a psychiatrist to make sure they know what they're doing and the consequences. This would prevent cases like this. It's sad that people think a 10 year old knows they were born in the wrong body. As a kid, and a young boy, I wanted to play with doll houses. That doesn't mean I wanted to transition.

There is a reason that minors and young children are not allowed to vote, buy alcohol, buy tobacco products and get tattoos. People who have transitioned have said that there should be a minimum age to transition as it is a permanent process.
