Hey Everyone. I mentioned this already in a reply below, but I should make it public knowledge. I received a response from the comune regarding whether there were properties available, so please don't bombard the comune with emails or phone calls. There are no one euro homes available in Termini Imerese. I'll fill you in on the details in a future video.
I visited Termini Imerese 2 years ago because my great grandparents came to the US from there. My experience during the day was similar, things were very quiet without many people around. In the evening however, the city came alive. Lots of people were hanging out in the square, eating at the restaurants, and riding Vespas around. It was like a completely different place. I think the older part of the city is quieter by day because many people live in the lower city nowadays. They go up the hill in the evening for fun.
I really appreciate your videos because I am learning more and more that between southern Italy and Malta, Malta is looking much better as a place to retire.
That was really good info....i would buy one in calabria in a town that has becomea skeleton which was a very busy little town 40 years ago. But they dont do this scheme, i wonder why?
think about it: pebble beaches are great!!! No families with kids!!! They want sand, to dig holes, to make sandcastles, also no sand clinging to your body.! Ahhhhhh, peace and quiet, no screaming kids, no screaming parents! Best beaches ever!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! PEBBLES!🧡💛💚💙💜🤎💖
Thanks again for the great video! I feel like this was tailor made to answer my question about beach front investment property I asked a few days ago. Anyway, I hope to get out there in a few months and buy a few properties for me and some relatives. Can you please make a video about networking with contractors and arranging for the work to be done by locals? Especially about the business culture. I will have to get the work done by locals but I don't speak any Italian and I assume most Sicilians would prefer to work with another Sicilian contractor vs an Italian, so in order to keep from offending anyone, I want to get a better idea of what to expect from the locals. I actually have some childhood friends of Sicilian ancestry but I lost touch with them. They are actually Sicilian American and still speak the mother tongue. But that doesn't help me. So I need a bilingual Sicilian and English speaking real estate agent. Or someone who can help me with the process.
I'm glad you liked the video. I know there are a lot of nice seaside communities with plenty of real estate available. It's just comes down to finding one that fits your interests. I am planning a video about contractors. I'd like to get as much concrete information as possible before I release it. I'm glad I'm on the right wavelength. I have to admit, it isn't the first time it was suggested. I'll try to get you some resources for the language barrier.
@@DauvO Just out of curiosity, are you licensed as a real estate agent in Sicily or just an investor? And are you open to working as a real estate agent or a general contractor? Or even as a partner. Right now I am busy with my project in the States and I expect I will be for the foreseeable future, but I'm still interested in the prospect there, so basically I have a bad case of fomo. I want to stay on top of this while I am still able and not too late.
@@kenfan5666 I recently started consulting in Real Estate here in Italy, but am an Investor not a real estate agent. I offer services based on alternative markets outside of the traditional real estate market, so becoming a real estate agent isn't really in my plans. I suppose I'd say I'm open to it, but I'll have to look into it more. I'm always open to partnerships as an investor. I understand your feelings. I truly find deals on a daily basis that I need to strategize funding for. We should talk about your current projects in the states. I'm curious what they entail.
It is possible, but have you looked at the map for Cosenza? It's about 35 minutes away from the sea. So seaside is a bit of a stretch. Either way, it's closer than I am right now.
Those cheap homes aren't worth it unless somebody is completely in love with the location and they want to live therethemselves as far as investment property they are not worth it I've been looking at other properties that are move-in-ready and are beautiful for investment and for personal living use. then I would avoid all the time waiting for something to get prepared for an investment when I could be making money and spending my time wisely
You are right about many things here. From an investors point of view, it's best to follow the numbers. Often people buy property in Italy as a lifestyle expense, and that's where the numbers start to have less weight in decision making

Thanks for your feedback. Was it in the summer or what season was it while you were there?
@@DauvO It was in late April.
My great grandparents are from here as well, my people moved to Chicago, Ill. 🙂
My great grandparents were from here as well, settled in southwest Michigan, sure is a beautiful town

Love your videos, and also it was very sweet of you pick up that poor plant 💗🥰💗
Thank you so much! You might be the only witness since it's at the end of the video hahah
DauvO, I noticed too, specifically gave it a like because you picked it up!
Thanks for saying so! You know what they say about small acts of kindness. Hoping to inspire people to do the same
Maybe you should include amenities in each town such as supermarkets, restaurants and maybe gyms. Internet accessibility ?
It's a good thought. Probably something that would fit best in the Facebook group so it is accessible all the time.
Good job as a contractor I'm very interested I'm going to check out the rest of your vids
You deserve a lot success. Thank you.
Very nice video. Wonderful places!
Nice one, i love the seaside and thanks for sharing.
Me too! Thanks for commenting!
You fixed the plant! ❤️
HAha I did. It looked like it needed help. I'm glad I walked by! You'd do the same for sure. I know that because you commented about it!

Love those old towns.
My parents came from Venosa in basilicata.
Cool have you had the chance to see it in person?
Hi Dauvo
Been there many times
Not for last 8 years. Since both parents passed away but plan on going there in 2020
I'm sorry to hear about their passing. I like that you are planning a trip! Is it going to be a full tour of Italy? Or mainly in one location?

That's what you think? Just wait til it hits 40°C in August - you'll see! Just about anything that moves will be on that beach :-D

Found apartment Calabria-Cosenza 2 bedroom, Seaside for 12,000 euro. Is it real?
It is possible, but have you looked at the map for Cosenza? It's about 35 minutes away from the sea. So seaside is a bit of a stretch. Either way, it's closer than I am right now.
Thank you , but I missed, it was Calabria-Cosenza(Province)-Scalea it could be closer to the sea, at least they saying a few minutes to the beach
