Hello, I purchased these after seeing your video and just installed them today. I'm happy with the look but I'm getting a sticky tire/cracking/creaking sound coming from all 4 tires since installing these. Low speed (driveway/neighborhood) with windows down. Search for noisy aero cover and it's a similar sound. Did you have this issue? May have to return them.
@@gmoneygmoney1018Okay, I did a ride today and had all the windows open, I could not hear anything out of the ordinary while driving. What year is your car?
@@MTNRanger 2023. It's definitely rubbing between the wheel cover and the wheel. I found several rub points on the platic clip poinr of the center spoke with the metal ring. I put some of the included rubberized tape and it alleviated a bit. I also found some significant rub points towards the center of each smaller triangle towards the tip of each one. Placed tape there and it helped a lot but there is still at least one peice rubbing. Instead of a constant noise, now it's like every revolution of the tire. I was hoping for a quick or easy fix but not the case. The car is 2 weeks old so I'm sure it's not my wheels.
@@gmoneygmoney1018 Did you put foam around the entire outer edge like I showed you in my video? I was asking about the year since my 18” are different than yours. You have the second gen aero wheels and they are slightly different.
They definitely look like the stock 19" wheels they just protude slightly since they sit on top of the wheels and cover the wheel completely. OPs video shows this. I'm satisfied with the similarity of the look. It's what I expected. Except for a crackling noise I'm experiencing.
@@gmoneygmoney1018 Thank you! I was just informed by EVBase it would take awhile since they come from China. So I requested them to cancel the order that I had placed the other day. I'm a bit impatient in waiting and now that you mentioned the noise affirms that I don't want them. I appreciate your feedback! I'm checking out a black and white wheels called Vader Style. Not sure I really like them, but saw some photos. They remind me of the Taycan look on their black and white wheel option.
Have you tried removing them? I have a set I bought from EVBase and the plastic clips in the back easily deform/break from the spoke...rendering them useless. ugh
@@MTNRanger I did...its been a bit of a roller coaster to honor the 1yr warranty ....but yes I got a flat on one wheel, so I had to remove the cap....the clip on the back broke...so I reached out ..went through a roller coaster to get something done ....since then I took off the other 3 caps and a second one now snapped in the back too! Those plastic clips are the worst!
@@roadtocybertruck Interesting, I've never had a cover clip break on the any of the seven or eight designs I have received. Good luck on getting it replaced. If you are running into a problem, send your contact info to mtn_ranger@aol.com.
Was easy to clean? I just bought it about 5 mins ago. Thanks for the video!
Yes, they are easy to clean.

Interesting, I don’t hear any noise on mine. I’ll test tomorrow with the windows down. It’s in the 40s tomorrow - I’ll take one for the team!
Thanks for checking. I appreciate it!

You get the looks of 19" wheels but the efficiency of 18" wheels. There aren't many light grey/silver wheel cover options.
Yes, I agree, other than the silver Rimetrix, they are fairly rare.
How long did it take you to get them? I just ordered mine today. I hope they really do look silver like the 19" rim sport wheels.
I did not go through the normal ordering process. The company sends them directly to me.
It took me around 16 days but that was also including the Christmas holiday.

I demonstrated removing them in the video. I would contact the company to replace them. Did clips break on all four covers?

What brand of floor tiles?
Those floor tiles are Swisstrax Ribtrax Smooth. th-cam.com/video/fU59qZ5vdY0/w-d-xo.html
Just ordered a set, thanks for the discount code.
You can now say that your car is Long Range
Since Tesla has been adding/subtracting the long range RWD over the years, I still like to specify what I bought in 2018.
