Ghost has no D and needs Chatty. Walker solid will be on 2 w/Orlov. Overall D is weaker imo than before. Who's #7 also? Offense incredibly weak.

We used to have one of the best 4th lines...not sure now.
Forward group and D corps have both become cleatly weaker and goldtending the same which is already a weakness. As of nowTeam's ceiling forvthe upcoming season is about 6 seed in east. Canes will need some rookies to develop in next couple years to have anyvchance at making noise. Should have kept Pesce. Brady was overpaid at 7×7, so im fine with that. Losing Guentzel with no additions is a disaster. Every addition is a filling out roster move. Lost i think 5 players with 4 clearly being better than snyone added. I think this is a bridge year with hopefully a plan after that.
We are going for a make the playoffs it’s still a win year, no goals.

No big move coming...bunch lower tier players many who will play in Chicago. Will end up putting many on waivers. Will have different players in out of the lineup

@@PhoenixwayNet There was never any question we were going to be worse off, the cap exists and there were too many guys needing significant raises.
It's a moneyball season and we have to see if he's correct about who he's bringing in to replace the stats. So far he's replaced 12.5m in defensemen with 6.8m. There's almost certainly going to be a move for a forward to cover the remaining 10m in cap space.
Imo this season is going to be a gelling season anyway. I expect some rookies to play a lot. We're not going to be top of the league, but we're setting it up to get there again soon after.
It will be another year with no cup
Was expecting this year to be a down year anyway, but mainly because I thought they were going to do the opposite of what they did. Sign a handful of big ticket guys and fill in the depth with rookies, and I figured it would take a season for the rookies to get caught up.

Guentzel wouldn't have been the difference. He's not a 100 pt player. He's on par with our other forwards when it comes to production
