Far too young to be lost, great rugby players and great people. Had the privilege of watch Va'aiga Tuigamala playing in the U.K. an absolute gem of a player. So sad.
I remember watching Inga when I was 4 years old my first memories of rugby was Inga he was a huge star before Jonah came along.. Man Joeli just brings back memories
2 Legends they were awesome to watch when I was a child and they are a big part of why I love new Zealand rugby! I'm shocked they where far to young God will welcome them.
1 year on and it’s still a shock that Inga and Joeli are no longer with us! Also a time to think of the bros Jonah, Norm Berryman, Jerry Terminator Collins, Sione Lauaki, Dylan Mika. 🙏🏽
In fiji when iga was playing for All blacks we all pretend to be iga playing mark around rugby. And use to go watch my brother Joeli playing for Nadi before he cross over to nz 🥲
Just seeing this now it sadden to greats gone to early. They played hard, were humble Polynesian men. Another 2 great Legends forming their team upstairs.
8:48 Stefan Terblanche pointing to Andre Joubert outside shoulder telling him where Joeli is going to beat him and Joeli goes that way - and beats him. 👏🏽 👏🏽 👏🏽
Inga was just one of those guys that took the time to talk with you and always made you feel like you were the most important person in the room. A very special man with an incredible nature. Rest easy my friend, you will be missed but not forgotten. Joeli, vinaka vaka levu
Sad very sad. love the Islanders I played up here against who battered me & those I meet on 2 trips especially RWC 2011. Loved it & the travel but being at places where Samoa or Tonga played embraced by the biggest people, shared hongi's, meet players who were heros & the love. I am so sad. Something re Islanders health needs investigating as we are losing too many greats.
2 legends gone way to soon . remember in the mid 90s when the NPC was solid counties playing Auckland in final standing on dominion road watching the counties team and supporters rolling up playing give us hope joeli
My memory of Inga was when the All Blacks played South Africa in 1992 at Ellis Park .The ball was spun wide to Danie Gerber and the whole stadium ( all 65,000 people) stood up to watch this legend run in open space , then Inga hit him with a stand up tackle head on and both players came to a sudden halt still standing on their feet .Took a legend to stop a legend.
Ingas love of carbs and western foods for joy was ultimately his demise as what happens with many people around the pacific. It is proof you cant out exercise a poor diet.
