Beautiful artwork, excellent story and outline of this classic Slavic folk lore character. The narrator's voice is pleasant and makes the viewing a real pleasure. (He reminds me a tad of the late very talented Tony Jay.) Keep up the awesome work!
Thank you for your kind words! I'm glad you enjoyed the video. You're absolutely right about the timeline; the 17th century is indeed part of the Early Modern period, not the Middle Ages. I appreciate your attention to detail! Thanks again for watching and for your valuable feedback!
Im playing this game called blacktail and it's about yaga baba it got me more interested in the lore of it. So this video is perfect for what I wanted to learn thank you!
Im a Russian Greek born woman i know all about her, i dont view her as evil i think she is a kind old woman offering guidance and riddles to travelers. most movies portry her as evil, i dont she is. but everybody as opinions of her.
The hut or cabin description is the description someone would give of a spaceship when it land "chicken legs" would come out and land in the floor. I think this lady is an alien 👽 from a planet that is colder than ours that's why her nose is so long, and that's why they choose cold places to live in.
@@MystOfMythology No problem, I left you for an hour in the company of the Oslo Philharmonic, found an excellent performance of Pictures at an Exhibition.
Hey Cameron, this was Ai text to speech, but certainly not in its original format. There was a lot of editing. After a subscriber vote, I’m now using my real voice, check them out and let me know what you think. Thanks for stopping by.
Couple of differences: She’s not a boogeyman - if that was the case he would be a ‘Babay’ which is the translation of Boogeyman. Also John Wick is motivated by revenge, whereas Baba Yaga is more of a force of nature testing (and sometimes randomly punishing) humanity.
In the original lore it's actually four chicken legs, in some manga and animation series it's also been three, in Hollywood and for a TH-camr's first video a year ago that he never thought anyone would actually watch, it's two.
Hey Daniel. Ahh my first ever video. Not the final draft, no. That was me. I did use AI to help me with a structured outline and things to consider, but no mater how good AI it gets, it always gives you the same kind feel as all the AI scripts. Thanks for watching.
@@MystOfMythology sweeeeeet :) thanks heaps for the clarity my man, just saw the photos and heard the voice and assumed the script was written the same, not that there's necessarily anything wrong with that - but still, I thought the vid was well put together & informative, appreciate the time you took to reply :)

Thank you so much! And yes, I can definitely see (hear) the resemblance with Tony Jay!
A brief depiction of her was shown in the movie Dracula Untold (which absolutely deserves a sequel).
Oh how I love that film. It really is (or ought to be) a classic.
Wow! 🤩 That was the best-made explanation of the story. Easy to understand. Thank you!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Yt actually recommended something mysterious and amazing 😊. Wonderful video, Subbed.
That means the world to me to hear, thank you soo much!
I second that.
Thank you!@@wazgod6306
Beautiful! thank you for this video and this walk-through of Baba Yaga's origins and evolution.
Thank you Simona, and thank you for taking the time to leave a comment 🙏
Here because of Plane Jane, the folklore of Baba Yaga is so interesting
This was fantastic and gave even more insight into Baba Yaga. Really good. Thank you.
Glad you enjoyed it Michael! 🙌
Lovely voice, nice art. Fascinating information. Little point: 17th century is a wee bit later than the middle ages.

Sorry but you forgot how she once was one greatest hitman of all time who found love and lost it.
😂😂😂
You did not understand the movie...🙄
@@wasilewskawasil he found love, she died and so he lost it - that not apart of the movie ?

Stories featuring Baba Yaga often appeared in "Jack and Jill" magazine when I was a child.

Well if you mess with an old lady then maybe you should have some tragedy...
Legend Quest
Iron Teeth Clan. Stories of them have been around for ages.
Sounds like a rock group 😝 what other stories have you heard?
I always enjoyed the story of Vasilisa.
Baba Yaga is also in Alexander Afanasyev's 'Baba Yaga's Black Geese'
Knowing too much makes you old, Baba Yaga must know all that there is but dont tell her I said that hahaha

This also my homework 😂
Wow😏😏😏😏😏
the recount often leans into exaggeration .. which i like in fairy tales .. i consider fairy tales psychogrammata
This is my homework
Hope it helps!
It’s also mine
Wot, no Mussorgsky?
Great suggestion! But as my first video I was still struggling with what I could and couldn’t use in my videos.

OK, I want to know. Is that an AI text-to-speech voice, or a voice filter?

i thought the chicken legs were three not two
